Today was a big day and I had to dress the part for it. I couldn't contain my excitement as much I tried , after all one of my oldest friend's was returning from the USA today and it was his reunion party, we needed to have a blast and create so many memories that he can leave for a foreign land with some warmth in his hearts.
I quickly looked into my closet to finalise an awesome outfit for the night. After much thinking I settled on a Blue jeans and black leather jacket, the classic combination which is just perfect for any party.
I walked downstairs and waited near my car waiting for my daughter (I like to tease her because she is a baby) I was going to call her out of impatience when she walked in and God did she look stunning, white mini skirt and black off shoulder top looked so well on her it was hard to take my eyes off. She hugged me and that brought me back on earth we sat inside the car and turned around looked at her and said "you look really stunning" and she blushed deep red and said coyly "thanks love"
The drive to my best friend Ajax's house took 45 minutes. He greeted me with open arms and we embraced like long lost brothers.
We spoke for some time and remembered the old times and I had an argument with Veronica, who just wants every opportunity to bring down Aurora and win me back. Next I went and danced with Aurora in the dance floor. After the dance Ajax pulls me closer and says "bro let's spend some quality "bro" time alone" I didn't want to go, leaving Aurora alone but she insisted that spend quality time with my best friend and she will be alright by herself and I walked towards an isolated part of the party, we stood there talking about his stay in USA and what different experiences he had there, "bro USA was a completely different experience and we can talk about it all night but I will say one thing nothing feels like Rome and I am so glad to be back here" and we exchanged high fives.
Our camaraderie was interrupted by Veronica tugging at my arms. I was so angry I wanted to slap her right there but I controlled myself. "Giovanni please listen to me I want to talk about something really important please can we go somewhere a little bit more private" she said I didn't want to go but Ajax intervened and told me to go with her and he went to the other part of the mansion busying himself with the other happenings and going ons of the party. We stood near a bonsai palm tree in the lawn garden and she started talking.
"Giovanni I am really sorry about my behaviour lately, especially the mean comments towards Aurora. I didn't want to behave like that but my anger and jealousy got the better of me. I couldn't see her with you." I cut her in the middle and said "well first of all I was never interested in you and I have told you a million times please stay away from me I don't want to date you! But no! you are stuck on my back like a leech sucking my blood everyday and killing my brain cells with all the nonsense you speak."
She was shocked by my outburst and stood there on the verge of tears which I can feel was just her acting skills. I am sure she didn't mean her apology at all, its just a ploy to win me over. Queen bee girls like her have enormous egos they won't ever apologise or admit their mistakes. "She used to be just a spy for me, but now she is much more than that. I love her and she is my girlfriend, so please get these crazy thoughts out of your mind and leave me alone!"
