He strode in with swagger, wearing a blue tuxedo that enhanced his well-built body. His hair was pulled back and put in place with help of pomade and he looked like a confident and dashing business personality, no one could guess about the nature of his business though.
I had no idea how this was going to play out and the appearance of this enigmatic figure was making the matter even worse. My gut feeling said he would be on my side but I still had this little bit of fear in the back of my mind about things not going as per plan and my heroic activity getting detention instead of praises.
The principal's office was a hubbub of action this morning, it had myself, Xander and Atlas along with their dads and Giovanni the testifier standing in the corner. The charming man I was talking about was none other than Giovanni's elder brother and my boss, Lorenzo.
He greeted the principal and took his seat beside me and said "Why did you call me here so early in the morning, don't you know how valuable my time is?"
The principal a middle aged woman with partially greying hair smiled and said "I know very well that every minute of yours has a lot of price to it, but the matters were so serious I had to call you here." "Alright, fair enough tell me what it is." Lorenzo said in a serious tone.
"Since you were the guardian here for the exchange student from London, Miss Aurora Lombardi, its our duty to inform you if she gets involved in something wrong. Although she is a serious straight A's students and I am shocked to say it but she was involved in a fight and beat up Xander and Atlas" the principal said and pointed to Xander and Atlas.
Lorenzo burst out laughing and said "are you out of your mind principal, look at her and look at these buff dudes, do you think they will fight with her and end up getting their asses kicked, that's something beyond my comprehension"
Now it was Xander's dad's turn to speak and he said "so you want to say that our sons are lying and your brother is a liar too"
Giovanni supported the argument "I saw it with my own eyes trust me" "These boys are kids how can we trust their judgement and you should be ashamed that you are stooping such levels of pettiness" Lorenzo said angrily The tension in the room was palpable and it was reaching a breaking point. I had no option but to intervene. "Its true, I fought and badly beat Xander and Atlas because they bullied me al the time." I spoke up and there was silence in the room. All eyes were on me. Lorenzo had a perplexed look on his face, it was hard for him to believe what he was hearing.
Principal madam broke the silence and said "Since its your first offence I will let you go easy but you have to report in detention for an entire week" "Yes madam this wont happen again" I said and stared down at my feet, feeling a sense of shame, but deep down I was relieved that the bigger issue was out of the way.
