First dates are really special for a person, but what is even more extra special; a person's first ever date in their lives. Sounds like gibberish let me explain.

I have never been asked on a date in my life, like ever. Giovanni is not like just a dude I am going on a first date with, he is my first ever boyfriend.

I was really excited when he told me about it and also about the proposal in front of the entire fucking school.
I couldn't sleep late into the night out of anticipation and excitement. I spent the entire night dreaming about how the next day would turn out.

I was dreaming of the surprises and awkwardness between us, the sheer number of nerves

Things are slowly getting bad and I am kind of feeling nauseous about the whole affair. First it started off badly with me not being able to figure out the "proper" outfit, if it wasn't for Emilia I wouldn't be able to make it.

Now this fucker I call my boyfriend was driving into some strange forested road for my surprise date, away from all civilisation and I was kinda starting to feel he was a sexy vampire or werewolf who would drink my blood.

The car had stopped abruptly near a forested path.
"The car cannot move any further and I am going to park it somewhere around here and we will have to walk"
Giovanni said calmly.
I couldn't take it anymore "Giovanni what the hell is going one where are you taking me, its already getting dark and I don't want to spend my first date here" I said nervously.

"Don't panic I am here with you, be patient for the next 20 minutes you will find out why I brought you here. Please trust me" he said reassuringly.
I got out of the car and he parked it before joining me. He used his phone's flashlight to illuminate the way for me.

After a walk of around 20 odd minutes, we reached a clearing that gave way to a breath-taking view.
The lake had clear water, so clear that you could see your reflection in it perfectly like a mirror and the sky was a brilliant hue of orangish-red thanks to the setting sun.

There was an isolated lake with a beautiful lake house, which was illuminated by yellow lights. Saying the view was breath-taking would be an understatement. Everything was perfectly arranged beforehand.
