Chapter 16: New Rules

Soon Emperor Da Bing announced everyone to look for more information regarding the incident and dispersed. Xiao Zhan bit his lower lip, waiting outside the hall. He caressed his chin as he look up to the sky. Then he felt someone stood next to him. He turned to look and smiles almost immediately.

"Bo-di," he called.

Wang Yibo stares at him, face softened.

"Now that I think again, I wonder why it takes so long for everyone to investigate the death of Xiao's family," Xiao Zhan said randomly.

Wang Yibo let out a soft sigh.

"His majesty actually don't want to open the case. He remained silence for 3 months while Xiao Zhan received punishments in the prison," Wang Yibo said.

Xiao Zhan blinked. He stares at Wang Yibo, eyes widened.

"Eh, really? How did you know that?" He asked.

Wang Yibo look away at the headquarter chiefs that seems to chatting not far from them. The sky were blue today, the clouds was light and moving slowly above them. The winds hit their skins, Xiao Zhan watched as Wang Yibo's long straight hair flew. Some even on his face. Maybe at first he thought Wang Yibo as a beauty but now he really think Wang Yibo is an absolute angel.

"Because I'm the one who begged them to open the case," he said.

He saw as Wang Yibo stares unfocusedly to the ground. He looked gloomy and dejected. Xiao Zhan had to hold himself from speaking the truth. No, he already came so far, imagined if he lose control and start to blurt out things nobody should know.

"Why would you do that?" Xiao Zhan asked, he fidgeted from where he standing.

"I just feel like he wouldn't do such things," Wang Yibo looked up at Xiao Zhan.

There is hope in Wang Yibo's eyes, if the mask wasn't on Xiao Zhan's face, Wang Yibo probably could see the regrets written on his face. Xiao Zhan faked his chuckle, he turned around, gripping the fence a little too hard.

"Whatever, everyone has their own opinion. Xiao Zhan must be so happy to know that there is someone out there still believing in him," Xiao Zhan said.

He glanced at Wang Yibo.

"Don't worry, we'll do our best together," he said.

Wang Yibo remained silence, just stares at Xiao Zhan.

Not long after he said that, the four grandmasters gather around them. Xiao Zhan turned to see what happened. He smiles, bowing humbly.

"Grandmasters," he said.

Xiao Dafeng crossed his arms.

"I think you were too young to not know our name. Call us Xian Yu Xiongdi, so then it wouldn't be that awkward," Dafeng said.

Xiao Zhan smirked "I see, I didn't hear they mentioned it in the grand hall. It's new to me," he said.

"Right, funnily four of us has lived through 2 generations. We considered old enough everyone recognised us as a lone warrior rather than brothers," Jin Zhurong said, smiling.

Xiao Zhan nodded excitedly, he leaned on the fence. He studied their face in the meantime as they were asking him questions.

"Gentleman, as I remembered, your name is Zhan Fu?" Nan Shisu asked.

"Correct," Xiao Zhan replied, beaming.

"Like what you said inside the grand hall earlier, if it's true the Nan Hai people attacked you guys before this I would like to lend a hand and investigate it for you two. I probably wouldn't do anything much, it's enough to look for those people since they escaped," Nan Shisu continued.
