CHAPTER EIGHT
♡
ONCE THE TWO OF THEM HAD ARRIVED HOME IN SILENCE OLIVIA HEADED STRAIGHT FOR HER BEDROOM.
"Olivia." Lisa called sternly from the door.
"Yea mom?" Olivia asked as she turned around to face her.
"Your father's about to be here so I want you downstairs in 15 minutes." She said. Olivia began to turn around as Lisa called her again. "Olivia."
"Yea?" Olivia paused getting slightly irritated.
"I'm serious." Lisa spoke giving her daughter a look. "Ok." She continues to walk up the stairs.
As she walked back towards her bedroom her phone had started to ding with notifications.

"Olivia!" She could hear her dad's voice call out to her from outside of her bedroom. She could still make a run for it as she has never really been in trouble before. "Olivia! I know you hear me calling you!" He continued to yell.
"I'm coming!" She yelled back. Olivia groaned leaning her bed as she headed out her room door and downstairs to see her parents standing with their hands on their hips.
"Hi daddy." She said smiling on the inside. She had a bad habit of not taking her parents seriously or laughing when her parents were mad at her, since it happened so rarely.
"Don't do that." He spoke sternly pausing. "Sit down." He added.
She sat down in the chair in front of him as her mom sat to the side of him.
"Give me your phone." He said. She opened her mouth kind of shocked when he gives a hand gesture silently telling her to shut up. She began to pull her phone out of her pocket which he took from her quickly.
"What's wrong?" Olivia asked she couldn't understand why her parents were so upset this was the first appointment she had ever missed and it wasn't like they couldn't just reschedule. "What's wrong? What's wrong?" Lisa had begunto yell as he held his hand up.
"Olivia." He said very calmly, weirdly terrifyingly calm. "Do you even know what your appointment was for?" He asked his head easing to meet with hers.
"Dad it was just a regular check-up we do it every month." Olivia shrugged. "No. Think again and cut it with the attitude. "
She comes to realize what the appointment was for and as her eyes went wide. "Oh."
"Yeah oh. You were supposed to see if you were getting better and if you could start taking treatment. Your mother waited and you didn't show up."
"Dad I just lost track of time it won't happen again." She said frantically. "Damn right it won't because you'll be here sitting in this house till your next one." He responded sternly.
"Dad that's a month away." Olivia stated her eyes wide.
"So?" He spoke very nonchalantly.
"So, I have a life outside of this house now and I'm nineteen."
"So you think your grown?" He said laughing. "Yes I do, the average American is an adult by the age of eighteen."
"You're not average! You're sick. If you were an adult you would have been responsible enough to make that appointment! But you didn't and I'm doing something about it. You're not gonna be hanging out with that boy anymore, he's a bad influence I know that now especially after what Ward has told me. You're gonna be home like you used to be helping your mom. I'm gonna make sure of that."
Olivia scoffed and rolled her eyes as she thought to herself. "How would you make sure of that, when your never home yourself?" But only she didn't think about it, she said it. She didn't realize what she had said until she had said it as her eyes along with her mom's went wide.
Lisa looks down as a tear streams down her face. "Olivia!" She exclaimed as she looked back up. Her father looked guilty turning around looking down at his wife.
"Dad-" She started. "Go upstairs Olivia we'll talk more later." He dismisses.
As she backed away she watched as her dad kneeled down to wipe her mother's tears away beginning to apologize profusely. "I'll be here more I promise."
Was the last thing she heard him say faintly before she was fully out of the room.
