Sawyer flashback!!!!

"Dylan!" Sawyer yelled throughout the house to his brother.

The two boys sat in the room with a handful of their friends. The whole day they had been hanging out, playing games and watching movies. The two of them had the biggest house out of all their friends so they always hung out at this house.

Their sister, Melissa, sat upstairs probably hanging out with her boyfriend. She rolled her eyes at the loud voice and peeked her head out the door frame.

"Guys! Quiet down, I'm trying to do something!" She yelled down the stairs at the group of boys.

"Whatever, okay!" Dylan yelled in the general direction of the stairs.

"Hey, I'm going to try and get something from upstairs, you guys okay here?" Dylan asked as he got up from his seat.

"Yah, we're fine Dylan." Sawyer answered.

Dylan left and walked up the stairs to his room, flopping on his bed once he arrived there. He was tired, to say the least. He sighed into the empty space as he turned onto his side. He slowly drifted to sleep, closing his eyes slowly.

Downstairs, Sawyer sat with their friends, staring at the large television screen. They were watching a movie while eating popcorn.

Sawyer hears the oven beep in the kitchen, and he makes no move to get it. He hears the endless beeping coming from the kitchen as he sits there.

"Melissa! Can you get the oven please?" Sawyer shouts to his sister.

"No! Why can't you get it!" She answers.

"Just get it please!" He yells and then the conversation goes silent.

"Hey, why don't we go play outside?" One of their friends suggests and everyone agrees.

"Okay I'll be outside in a little bit, just have some fun."

Sawyer says and walks off, leaving the boys on their own.

The group ran outside, having fun in the large, spacious yard that they owned.

Meanwhile, Sawyer turned off the television and walked towards the bathroom that lay on the bottom floor. The pure white bathroom that the two boys had always hated because of how pure and beautiful it was.

He stared at his reflection in the mirror, the tired expression on his face. He reached up to his hair and ruffled it softly, laughing at it. His brother, Dylan, had always done that to him and he had always hated it. The two boys had an argument about a week ago, so they hadn't really talked that much, which was scary. They had always been inseparable and had barely gone a day without each other.

Sawyer sighed and walked out the bathroom, immediately inhaling the bitter smell of smoke. He turned towards the kitchen where the smell was coming from. There was a bright, orange light that radiated from the kitchen. He slowly realized that there was fire, the flames licking at the walls around him.

"Melissa! Dylan! Get out of the house! There's a fucking fire!" Sawyer shouts with all his might, hoping that they hear him.

Melissa opens the door quickly and looks down the stairs as the smoke flows up, hurriedly making her way outside. She passes the kitchen briefly and sees the flames burning the kitchen and slowly spreading around the house. She runs out the house, where Sawyer was trying to get their friends farther from the house.

She looked around her, trying to find her other brother.

"Dylan! Where's Dylan?" She yells out into the air.

"He should be coming down now! Check in the other side to see if he went there!" Sawyer was panicking but telling himself that it was fine.

Melissa ran around to the other side of the house, trying to find Dylan. The boy appeared to be nowhere, and the house was going up in flames. She sprinted back to her brother who had successfully shoved his friends to the other side of the street.

"I didn't find him, did he come out here?" She yelled, tears threatening to spill out of her eyes.

Sawyer made eye contact with his sister and they both knew what had just happened. They both ran back towards the house, but when they got there, the whole doorway was in flames and there was no way they would get in.

The sirens come blaring from down the street as the fire truck hurriedly drives towards the house.

Sawyer turned and ran towards them, explaining the situation and two firefighters ran inside the house to find their brother.

Melissa turns to Sawyer with glassy eyes. They both knew it, just refused to admit it. There was that small sliver of hope still inside of both of them, but that was quickly turned down when the two men came out of the house with the worse news.

"I'm sorry, he was already dead when we got there." The man had explained.

But the two kids had already blanked out so what they really heard was, "Sorry...he...dead...got there." The only was important word there was "dead" and Sawyer broke down. The words that they had been dreading to hear just came out of the man's mouth.

"No no! He can't be dead!" He yelled as the tears stream down his face.

Melissa wrapped her arms around her brother as tears ran down her face. The two siblings were crying in each other's arms. Melissa knew Sawyer and Dylan had been close, so she knew Sawyer was going through a much harder time than she was.

The tears kept falling as they stood there, the whole world disappearing around them as they cried in each other's hold.
