They kinda just...awkwardly walked towards each other. Neither of them really knew how to act around the other after 3 Years of not seeing each other.

They walked inside, distanced from each other.

They both ordered separately, although Sawyer paid for both of of their orders, which was quite difficult to convince Stephanie.

They sat down awkwardly. They sat so they were facing each other, but they didn't make eye contact.

It was...extremely awkward. They sat in silence for a good 7 minutes before Sawyer said something.

"Uh hey Stephanie? How have you been?" He says, unsure of what to do next

Stephanie looks up at him, raising her eyebrows at his uncertainty. "I'm...fine. And what about you?"

"Um. I've been better. Thank you." He says, looking down. It was the truth; he wasn't feeling great but that was because he was nervous around himher.

"Yah? Okay?" She says. She wasn't sure how to answer now.

Sawyer just nods and looks down at his lap again. Well, this "date" was certainly not going as he had planned.

They sit in silence again. Although, this time neither of them attempted to break the silence. There was tension in the air, the unspoken incident still floating in their minds.

They hadn't let go of it yet, of course they haven't.It really did suck that they are still holding that against each other still, but they did have quite a reason. The reason being...they did both get hurt throughout the whole incident and the aftermath.

The tension in the air was almost tangible.

The silence was broken once again when Stephanie said, "So Sawyer what have you done for the past three years?"

Sawyer looks up at the sound of her voice, staring at her face. Sure, she had changed over the past 3 years, but she still looked as beautiful as ever in his eyes. He was mesmerized. Sawyer's eyes immediately went to her lips, then he quickly looked away. They weren't together anymore, so he couldn't really do anything.

"Uh Sawyer?" She says, interrupting his thoughts. "Earth to Sawyer?!"

Sawyer blinks, shaking his head. "Yah? Sorry I spaced out."

"Yeah, I noticed. I asked you have you been okay in the last 3 years."

"Oh. I've been okay, I guess? I got a job after a while, the first year here kinda sucked though. But the past 3 years have...definitely been something." He said with a laugh.

"Oh? Tell me more?" Stephanie said, curious.

"You don't want to know about it, seriously." He says.

"But I really do want to know so shut up and tell me dumbass." She demands.

Sawyer is taken aback by her language but continued speaking. "Uh...well. You know what? What about you?"

"No Dylan." She had said his internet name that he hadn't heard for 5 years. He gasped.

"No no no wait. Why'd you call me Dylan?" He stammered. The name reminded him of his past, not just when they were talking, farther back than that. To where he got the name from, that's just how far.

"You act like I didn't call you that before?" She questions.

"No, you definitely did, I just haven't heard that name in so long." He looks down at his hands that sit in his lap.

"So, you really did leave Discord..." She mutters under her breath.

"Well, yah, I did. I guess I never thought about it." He looks outside the window that they sat at.

"Well Dylan, I want to know about you, tell me everything." She has her elbow on the table, with her chin in her palm.

"Uh. I had a hard time adjusting without you and Julia I'm not even going to lie. It did hurt for a long time. I blamed myself for the first year...I started hurting myself, my roommate actually rushed me to the hospital the first time I tried suicide, thankfully it was the last. Uh what else?" He pauses to think. "Oh yeah! I got a job! It's not nearly as exciting as streaming, but I started working at this small company and basically I use their equipment to create music, like I used to but now it's kind of professional I guess."

Stephanie nods intently, taking in every word he said. To anyone else, this information he was saying would be unimportant, but to Stephanie it was very important. She wanted to know what her love had been doing

"Well, yah I guess that's everything? I don't even remember anything right now, I'm so nervous." He says.

"Why are you nervous? Don't be nervous, it's just me. I'm still the same person from 3 years ago, I haven't changed that much." She says with a weak smile on her face.

To be fair, she hadn't really changed. She's still depressed in a sense, and she still loves Sawyer. So, what's changed? Nothing really. Her depression has gotten worse, but that's it really.

"Oh well but..." Sawyer starts his sentence.

"Stop right there," She interrupts. She grabs his hand from across the table, holding it. "Lets try and forget what happened? Okay? That's in the past, we can't change it anymore."

"Bu-but." He stutters. "But I hurt you. I'm sorry Steph. I'm still so sorry." He looks down and takes his hand back.

Stephanie puts her finger on his chin, lifting it up so they meet eye-to-eye. "Hey...Dear. It's still me, remember the girl you talked to on the internet? That's still me. I don't care how much you hurt me because I will always come back to you. I will always turn to you."

They both had tears in their eyes at this point, their eyes glossy. The tears were threatening to fall out. Sawyer swallowed, willing his tears to not cascade down his cheeks.

Sawyer grabs her hand and intertwines their fingers.

"Like old times?" He asks with a smile on his face.

She nods happily. "Just like old times."
