I love this chapter, it's my favorite. Okay keep reading.

3 years later

Stephanie paced around the room, nervously. She looks down, watching her feet fall on the ground with every step she took. Melissa stood in the same room as she attempted to calm her down.

"Steph! Calm down." She pleads at her.

Stephanie turns to her, "No! I can't calm down though. What if something happens? Like if he says no?" She rattles off random reasons to her.

"He's not going to say no, I promise you. I've known him for 20 years Steph, calm down." Melissa attempts to calm her down.

"What if we flew all the way over here just for him to say no?" She says, completely ignoring Melissa's words. "What if I'm wearing this whole outfit just for him to walk out? What if-?"

Melissa walks up to her and grabs her shoulders, looking into her eyes. "Stephanie," she says sternly. "Calm down, okay? Everything will be fine. And just like I told you 3 years ago: "If he hurts you in any way, shape, or form, you come and tell me," She pauses to look at her again, "Okay? You got that."

Stephanie nods slowly. "But-," She starts before Melissa stops her sentence from coming out of her mouth.

"No buts." She interrupts. "Listen to me, Sawyer won't walk out on you, he won't leave you, and he certainly will not say no to you. Now come here, I need to do your makeup." She motions towards the seat in front of a mirror and Stephanie sits down.

As Melissa puts on her makeup, Stephanie slowly calms down. The reflection in the mirror showing her how much she has changed.

6 years ago, she would never have thought she would be here. Back then, she was at her worst, her hardest times. The era where she would break down from every small thing.

From her home, to New York, then to Wisconsin. From happy, to depressed, to okay. Her life had gone downhill in New York, but then, although quite slowly, went uphill. Her life got better when Sawyer entered her life.

And now, here she was, New York again. The same place that she was when she first met the love of her life. The man that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, Sawyer. They were only about a couple miles away from the meeting spot where they first met all those years ago.

"Okay! I'm done!" Melissa exclaims as she steps back to examine her work. "Yep! You look beautiful, Steph. He's going to love it, trust me." She assures her.

"Don't worry, I already know he's going to love it. I could walk out there in rags, and he'd still love it." Stephanie says, not really caring or thinking about her words.

"Exactly!" Melissa says. "That's what I've been trying to tell you this whole time. He loves you."

"Yep, he sure does. That's kind of the whole reason we're here today, Melissa."

"Well, no duh. I know that much. You've just been doubting yourself the whole time I've been here!"

"Oh, sorry you had to deal with that. I've just been anxious." She says, shrugging.

"No! It's fine. I totally understand." Melissa answers.

"Okay. Thanks, by the way. For literally everything." Stephanie whispers under her breath, but Melissa hears her.

Just as she says that, the door opens. The two girls whip their heads around to the door to see who it was that now stands in the doorway of the room.
