They ended up driving Melissa home with a lot of shopping bags in her hands. Meanwhile, Sawyer and Stephanie had only a couple bags combined.

After they drop Melissa off, Stephanie walks back into the car and puts on her seatbelt, clicking it into place.

Sawyer sits there silently, unmoving. He tapped his foot, trying to think.

Stephanie looked beside her at Sawyer, who was still not moving. "Sawyer? Earth to Sawyer?" She said as she waved her hand in front of his face.

Only then did Sawyer move, he leaned over to her seat cupped her face with his hand.

Stephanie laughs nervously. "Uh Sawyer, what are you doing?"

He doesn't hear her words, his mind filled with scenarios of what could happen next. He carefully planned out his next moves.

He leaned in closer, staring at her lips that were stained with pink. He moves closer to her so that their foreheads were touching, and their lips were inches away. Stephanie slowly moved closer so that their lips were ghosting over each other.

She closed her eyes, surrendering herself to these actions.

Sawyer immediately backs away, his head shaking.

He goes to turn on the car again, but Stephanie grabs him and pulls him back to the same position they were in. With their foreheads touching and their lips centimeters away from each other.

"Kiss me..." She whispers against his lips.

And that's all it takes for Sawyer before he pulls Stephanie closer to him so they're lips smash together.

As they kiss, it was pure ecstasy. Steph felt all her nerves jumping around like frogs, and all the butterflies in her stomach fluttering. He warms her lips and caresses her skin, feeling like little flames dancing as Sawyer deepens the kiss, them melting together seamlessly.

They pull apart with no words as they both catch their breath. The kiss spoke the words that neither of them have never said before.

Sawyer looks away slightly, trying to avoid Stephanie's eyes that were probably staring at him right now.

"Hey, Sawyer. Please don't ignore me." She says when he doesn't look her way. She grabs his shoulder and turns his whole body in her direction. He looks down at his lap, his hands fiddling. "Look at me goddamnit!" She yells and bangs on the seat.

His head jerks up at the loud noise from the force of her fist colliding with the seat.

"Finally! Now look at me." Her voice was gentle and calming. His eyes slowly meet her's. "If I told you I love you...how would you react?"

Sawyer laughs slightly then looks at her. "I would tell you that you're an idiot for not noticing my feelings earlier."

He grabs her chin slightly and then leans into her ear and whispers, "Don't worry, I love you as well."

He pulls away and then leans in again, only this time their lips met in the middle. Their lips fit perfectly together, moving in sync with the other.

Stephanie pulls away first, and then smiles at him. "Then let's do this together."

"I promise you that I'll never leave you again."

"I'll stay here by your side forever Sawyer."

They promise each other as they sit there in the car. The ride home was silent except for Sawyer's music playing in the background. Their hands were intertwined as he drives towards home. The same home where it was hell 2 months ago, but now was the home that they shared.
