Rose's P.O.V.
When I woke up the next day, I saw that Ryan wasn't in bed so I got up, grabbed some clothes and went into the bathroom, shutting the door behind me. I got in after getting undressed and after I got out and dressed, I combed my hair and left the bedroom. I went to the kitchen and saw Brian sitting at the table.
"Where's Ryan at?" I ask sitting by Brian.
Brian tells me that he left with Josh.
"Have you made breakfast yet? I could make us some." I say.
I stand up and make my way to the stove.
"Sit down...I'll make it." Brian says.
I turn around to see that Brian was getting up off the chair.
"Are you sure?" I ask him.
He nods his head so I went back over to the chair and sat down.
"You're my brother's mate; I think he would be furious if he knew I let you cook." He says.
I sat in silence as he began cooking and when he finished, he placed a plate in front of me.
"Thank you." I say.
He looks up at me and nods his head.
"If you don't mind me asking..." I began to say.
I look up at Brian to make sure he's paying attention and I saw that he was looking.
"Why are you here? I don't mean to sound mean." I question.
Brian doesn't answer me for a while.
"Ryan is letting me stay here for one reason and that's because I'm in a deep depression." He says.
I gasp at what I had just heard.
"I haven't found my mate and I can't shift into my wolf anymore, because were too depressed." He then continues.
I stand up, walk towards Brian and I hug him gently.
"You'll find her, I'm sure you will." I say.
I feel Brian's body shake so I pull away and see that he's crying. He pulls me onto his lap and he hugs me gently.
"Thank you for those kind words." He says.
Three minutes later, Brian let go of me.
"Thanks for listening." He then says.
I smile at him. "No problem and if you ever need to talk again, I'm always here." I tell him.
"I'll remember that and the same goes for you too." He says.
I laugh. "Alright, I'll make sure to do that." I say.
I got off of Brian's lap and went to sit in my chair and then we ate our breakfast in silence. I tried to wash the dishes but Brian had insisted that he should wash them too so I sat back down on the chair. When Brian finished the dishes, he helped me off the chair and we went into the living room. We both sat down on the couch.
"Does Ryan let you visit your family?" Brian asks.
I was thinking if I should tell him or not but I figured that because he told me why he was here, that I should tell him the truth.
"He would if I remembered who they were." I reply.
Brian's P.O.V.
What the hell did Rose mean by that?
"What do you mean by that?" I ask.
She didn't speak for a couple of minutes.
"I lost my memories and Ryan is trying to help me gain them back." She replies.
I was shocked at what I had just heard.
"So you don't remember anything?" I ask.
She shakes her head. "Nothing and I hate it; I want to know if I have a family or not." She tells me.
I began to pull Rose towards me and I picked her up and placed her on my lap. I held her gently in my arms.
"I know that you'll get them back." I say.
She looks up at me. "That's what Ryan said too." She says.
"Well friend, what do you want to do?" I ask.
"Friend? Are you saying were friends?" Rose questions.
I nod my head. "Best friends I hope." I reply.
"Best friends." She says.
I hug her gently and she giggles.
"I wish you were my mate." I whisper.
She doesn't say anything for a bit. Shit, I should have never said that.
"I'm sorry. Just forget what I had said." I tell her.
She smiles, kisses my cheek. "Its fine Brian, but trust me...you'll find your mate and she'll make you happy." She says.
I hope that she is right because I really want to find my mate. I suddenly realized that Rose was still on my lap.
"Do you want to sit on the couch?" I ask.
I saw the look in her eyes and saw that she had forgotten that she was on my lap too.
"Is it okay if I stay on your lap?" She asks.
I smile and nod my head. "You're welcome to sit on my lap anytime you want." I reply.
I really didn't mind Rose sitting on my lap, she made me happy and she was the one who got me to keep my hopes up on finding my mate. I sigh a little, wishing that I could talk to my wolf and to hear him talk back when all of a sudden I hear somebody talking. At first I thought it was my wolf speaking but then I realized that it was Rose.
"What was that?" I ask.
She laughs a little. "I had asked you how long Ryan was gone." She replies.
I shrug my shoulders. "He was gone when I got up." I say.
I think she was disappointed with my answer.
"I was hoping that you could've told me how long he's been gone." She says.
I hated that Ryan's been gone for a long time and that he didn't bother to leave a note, he was making Rose and I worry about him but I'm sure that Rose was more worried than I.
