Memory Lost Chapter 21

Rose's P.O.V.

The guy nods his head slowly. "I am." He says.

Ryan growled loudly, he stormed up to the guy and grabbed his neck.

"How dare you fucking do that to her!" He yells out.

I walked up to Ryan and I pulled his hands off of the guy's neck.

"Ryan stop please! Leave Riley alone!" I yell out.

Ryan backs away from Riley and he turns to look at me.

"You remember his name?" He asks.

"Can somebody please explain to me what the fuck is going on?" Dad asks.

I look at Riley to explain everything because I still was trying to gain my memories.

"I erased Rose's memories because I thought if her mate knew that her brother and father are vampires that he would reject Rose." Riley replies.

I was shocked; would Ryan really have rejected me if he knew before?

"I would never have rejected Rose just because of that...the only way that we wouldn't have been together is if Rose didn't want me." Ryan says.

I smile at that, I was glad to hear that from him.

"I'm sorry Rose, it's just...I was worried that you were going to get rejected." Riley says.

Ryan puts his arm around my waist and he pulls me close.

"So Rose's dad..." Ryan began.

Dad chuckles. "My name is James." He says.

"So James, I was wondering why you adopted Rose and Matt?" Ryan asks.

Dad doesn't say anything for a bit.

"My wife died protecting Riley. When Riley got older I had noticed that he looked lonely all the time. At the time I only wanted to adopt Matt, but the agency had told me that Matt had a sister so I decided to adopt both. I didn't want to separate them but I am very proud to call them my children." Dad says.

I smile at dad.

"Why don't we all sit down?" Dad questions.

We all move towards the couch and I sit down on Ryan's lap.

"I need to tell you all something but I'm not too sure how you're all going to react." Riley says.

What was Riley about to tell us?

"I have an ability...it allows me to see into the future." He says.

We all gasp. I could not believe what I had just heard.

"I saw Ryan rejecting Rose because of me and dad not only because of us being vampires but also because of us being in her life." Riley says.

So that's why Riley erased my memories. He had a vision of it happening.

"Why didn't you say something? How long have you had the ability?" Dad asks.

Riley doesn't say anything for a while almost as if he was wondering if he should answer the question or not.

"I've had the ability for seven years." Riley finally says.

Seven years that he's kept that secret to himself? It must've driven him crazy not finding the courage to tell anybody.

"Yeah, it did. You guys have no idea how badly I wanted to tell you but I was worried that you would hate me for it." Riley says.

I didn't know that I had said that out loud. I could not believe that Riley thought we would hate him because of his ability to see into the future.

"I can't believe you that we would hate you. Riley we all love you and that's not going to change." Dad says.

Riley looks at us and he smiles. "That makes me feel better; hearing that." He says.

I see that dad was looking at his watch. "Wow, I think you two need to head home; it's getting late." He says.

Ryan and I got up off the couch.

"Can you bring Rose here tomorrow? So she can pack her things?" Dad asks.

"I promise I'll bring her back tomorrow." Ryan replies.

My dad and my brothers all got off the couch and one by one they each hug me. After the hugs, Ryan and I went to the door.

"I'll see you tomorrow." I hear dad say.

Ryan opens the door and we step outside; I hear the front door shut behind us. We walked to the car, Ryan helped me in and then after he shut the door, he went over to his side and got in. After the car was started, Ryan drove off. I felt a hand on my leg; I look down slightly and see that it's a hand...Ryan's hand. I took his hand in mine and he squeezes it gently.

"I never would've guessed that you were adopted by a vampire." He says.

I just laugh. We arrived home and I see Brian and Josh coming over to us. Ryan and I got out of the car. I saw Brian and Josh smelling the air; they smelled our scent. I heard them both growl.

"Why the fuck do you both smell like a vampire?" Brian asks.

I look over at Ryan and discover that he's looking at me, as if he was asking permission to tell them. I shrug my shoulders and nod my head.

"Rose is gaining back her memories and she discovered that not only does she have an adopted dad and a brother but that their also vampires." Ryan tells them.

I saw Brian and Josh's mouths were hanging open. I wanted to laugh at them but I decided to hold it in and laugh another day.

"You were adopted by vampires?" Josh finally asks.

I nod my head.

"Are you the only one who is human in your family?" Brian asks.

"Nope, I have another brother...he is also human and my real brother." I reply.
