A few days later the princesses, Daisy and Peach, had finally come over to the Mario Brother's house once everything with their Kingdoms was taken care of so they could take a break for the holidays. They were wearing their winter gear. In fact, nearly everyone was dressed differently for the winter season. After that sledding adventure, Luigi decided it was time to change out of his usual overalls and into his favorite green scarf, along with a nice green jacket and some sturdy snow boots. It felt weird not to be wearing his usual hat and overalls, but it also felt nice.

Mario changed as well, but unlike Luigi, he refused to take his hat off. He wore a nice, big red winter coat and his usual red cap, as well as a jolly smile on his face. Peach and Daisy both had nice, warm-looking sweater dresses on in their respective colors, along with fuzzy winter boots. Peach had her blonde hair tied up behind her while Daisy left it down and put an orange beanie on her head to help keep her warm.

"Whoa, bro. I can't believe you're not wearing a hat," Mario laughed, looking at Luigi's somewhat messy brown hair, which brushed over the top of his sky blue eyes. The man in green just offered a shrug in response. "Eh, I wanted to free my head for a bit," Luigi admitted.

"Well don't come crying to me when your ears get too cold," Mario chuckled, opening the door and letting a breath of cool, chilling winter air flow inside. "Now come on! Let's go outside!"

Mario beamed and immediately rushed out, Peach not far behind him. "Wait up!" She cried, running after the man in red. Luigi was about to follow as well when he suddenly felt someone grab his arm and pull him back. He let out a short gasp in surprise, but immediately relaxed when he saw it was just Daisy.

"Hey, are we still on the same team for the big snowball fight?" She asked.

"Pfft, you know it!" Luigi replied with a laugh.

The princess smiled a genuine smile, then smirked. "Good. And don't go easy on them this year. I've been coming up with a plan to finally beat Peach and Mario, and I can't have you pulling your punches just because you feel bad about attacking them," Daisy said, her smile melting away more and more as she spoke and turning into an almost too serious expression. "There are NO FRIENDS, in a snowball fight."

She was always more competitive than Luigi when it came to snowball fights. Her rules were NO MERCY, Which was a very difficult thing for Luigi to follow.

"Alright, I'll try," Luigi nervously laughed. "But I make no promises."

"Good," Daisy chimed, letting go and following Peach and Mario outside. Luigi let out a small chuckle and followed close behind her. He really did want to win this year, and he knew Daisy definitely was counting on him to actually play, so he couldn't let her down this time.

______

"ALRIGHT!" Mario shouted once both sides were ready. "THE RULES ARE SIMPLE!"

He smirked and paused, lowering his voice slightly so it was quieter, but not any less filled with excitement.

"The only rule is, there ARE no rules! NOW, let the snowball fight... BEGIN!" He shouted, grabbing Peach's arm and quickly pulling her over to a large pile of snow.

Daisy immediately grabbed Luigi and kneeled down behind a bush for protection.

"Alright, you remember my plan?!" She whispered.

"Yep!" Luigi nodded, pointing to the tallest tree. "I climb that tree and wait for your signal. Once you give the okay, I attack them from above, showing no mercy!"

"Perfect!" Daisy giggled, patting him on the back and looking forward with a menacing smile on her face. "And don't forget. It's OKAY to send them to the hospital. I can't wait to see the look on their faces. Those two will never know what hit them!"
