The next morning Daisy insisted on taking Luigi shopping. It was of utmost importance to her, so he couldn't refuse. They both told Mario and Peach they'd be out for the first half of the day. Mario told them it was alright as long as they stayed together and they picked up cookie dough for later that night.

"Hey, do you know what kind of cookies Dio likes?" Daisy asked, eyeing some cookie dough while walking through the town store.

"No idea," Luigi admitted. He tried scanning his memories for a moment back to his time at castle Bleck, but he couldn't recall which food Dimentio had and hadn't liked. He really wished his memories of the whole event were more clear. He could remember the just of what happened when he was Mr. L now, but some things were still muddy.

"Well, if you want... I think you should take some of our extra ingredients and make some with him- OOH! LOOK! LUIGI! SNICKERDOODLES!" Daisy excitedly shouted, holding up a package of snickerdoodle cookie dough like it was the most amazing thing she'd ever come across.

"Does he like cinnamon? I feel like he looked like the kind of guy who'd like cinnamon!" Daisy giggled.

"Again, I haven't the slightest clue. I don't know if he's ever even had snicker-"

"Then it's settled. You two are making snickerdoodles! I've decided!" Daisy chimed, shoving the cookie dough into Luigi's arms. "Now come on. Let's buy him some gifts!!!"

"I find it very strange that you're more excited about this than I am," Luigi laughed, putting the cookie dough into a bag. "You haven't even actually met him!"

"Well, it's exciting!" Daisy pointed out. "Now, what do ya wanna get him?! And don't say a sweater, or I swear to Grambi, I'll end you."

Luigi was about to say a sweater but stopped himself as soon as she said that. "Uhh..." He muttered.

"Okay. Think of it this way. Is there anything cool you want to do with him?" Daisy questioned. "Like if you wanted to play tennis with him, then I'd buy him a tennis racquet, for example."

"I don't think he's ever played tennis. And it's a little cold for that if you haven't noticed..." Luigi mumbled.

"Well, then think of a winter activity! Is there anything wintery you want to do together?"

Luigi stopped and paused to think about it. Although there wasn't really much to think about since he already knew the answer. "Well, yeah. I want to do a lot with him. I wanna show him so many things and prove that the world isn't so hopeless! I already showed him snowball fighting, I built a snowman with him... Oh! I'd love to take him sledding sometime-"

"Sweet! Get him a sled!" Daisy interrupted. "That way you two can use it to go sledding! BAM! Perfect gift! You're welcome~!"

"That's... actually kinda smart." Luigi chuckled as Daisy playfully punched his arm.

Still hurt, but he knew she didn't mean for it to.

"Why do you sound surprised?! I'm a very smart person," Daisy chuckled. "Now you go look for some more gifts to get him. And DON'T GET HIM A SWEATER! I'm gonna look at the sled section and get him the SICKEST sled ever! I'm talking sick patterns, cool colors, OOH! MAYBE I CAN GET ONE WITH FLAMES PAINTED ON THE SIDE!"

"Just a normal sled, please," Luigi laughed. "I don't wanna go overboard."

"Alright, fine. I'll just get a semi-fancy one. Sound fair?" Daisy asked.

"Sounds fair," Luigi replied, going to the nearest section while Daisy sprinted through the store looking for a sled.

Now for the hard part. Picking out a non-sweater gift. The truth was, he was terrible at giving gifts. That was partially the reason why he always gave away sweaters.
