"Let's go to the garden table and talk, shall we?" Said Dalia.
"Certainly." replied Benja.
They all went and sat down and Chief Benja said, "Okay dewdrop, so...Dalia and I want to let you know that...we are dating."
Raya held back the tears that tried to flood her eyes. She took a quick deep breath and said, "I suspected."
"Oh, did you!" Said the Chief in shock.
Raya felt as though she couldn't hold back the tears anymore. The burning sensation in her eyes and the heavy feeling on the inside insisted to be released.
"I'm happy for you...but I...I really need to go." Said Raya.
She kept her head down and went to her room and broke down. Chief Benja entered not long after and said, "Raya, tell me how you truly feel about this. Don't just run off and cry."
"Ba...I just... f-feel hurt because I...I get these memories of...mom... And to think...t-that someone is replacing her...hurts me." said Raya in the midst of her tears.
"Dewdrop, I know it seems that way clearly. But we cannot stay in a mood of depression. I am still hurt. Her death wounded me emotionally as you. But Dalia? She has been there by my side. She's been an amazing servant and she brings me the joy your beautiful mother did. She has gone in history as a great queen. Her legacy cannot and will never be replaced because no one will ever be Queen Lucia ever again." Explained Chief Benja.
"I know Ba...I know." replied Raya as she dried her tears.
She took a deep breath and said, "Ba, Please may I...be alone for a bit?"
"Sure dewdrop." replied the Chief. He gave her a soft smile before leaving the princess to privacy.
Raya just sat there in silence and then thought of visiting her mother's grave. Chief Benja's words just didn't bring her any satiety from her sadness. She put on a black hooded coat and went to where her mother's grave was. She was buried behind the palace in a beautiful cave. A path with purple and blue flowers on the sides led to the grave.
Raya walked in and took off the hoodie. Tears saturated her eyes when she saw and neared the grave. She couldn't help grieving once more. She knelt beside the grave and in tears, she said, "M-mom...I miss you so much. Things are not going how they should. I-I feel like everything is wrong and I wish you were here. You were stolen from me! And now, I feel so...empty. A void inside me wants to be filled with your love, your embrace. Mom, I miss you."
She stayed by the grave for nearly an hour and felt this connection. She didn't feel as alone. She didn't feel scared but she still knew the reality that her mother was not alive. She can't think of Dalia just entering her family. Yes she has been the mother figure for Raya and cared for her immensely, and Raya loved her but taking a direct step into Queen Lucia's place was too far. Raya sighed and then heard footsteps in the distance. When she turned around, it was a girl she never saw before. She had very long blue and yellow hair, beautiful brown eyes and she wore a beautiful long floral dress. She bowed to Raya and said, "Hello your majesty."
"Um...hi... Who are you?" asked Raya.
"I am Amara. I sensed that you needed me."
Raya's eyebrows narrowed and she got up and said, "I beg your pardon? I don't need anyone. I want to be alone right now."
Amara took a deep breath and said, "You may feel like you need no one because you don't want to be vulnerable. You are trying to stay strong but even you yourself know that you wish Queen Lucia was still alive."
Raya was shocked and she said, "But...but how did you know that?"
"As I said, I sensed you. I could feel the pain in your heart. And it is unpleasant. You see, my duty is to help people like you that need comfort in situations as this." Amara's voice was very soothing as she spoke to Raya.
Raya sighed and said, "Can't you bring back my mother? Please?"
With a frown, Amara said, "I can't, your majesty. It's impossible to do so."
She casually made a beautiful flower out of thin air and gave Raya. Raya was stunned and she said, "H-how did you...do this?"
"I'm a dragon. Thanks to Pranee's spell, that's how I could transform into a human."
"Oh, uh that's great."
"It is. So, do you want to talk with me about what's going on?"
Raya sighed before nodding yes.
"Let's go on a walk, shall we?" said Amara.
"Yeah."
They both exited the cave and headed to the the forested area beyond the bridge.
