Part 12 - What an Astonishment!

Raya was absolutely stunning. She had her hair to the side with beautiful curls. Dalia even put her in a bit of mascara and gloss. Raya wasn't the girly girl but she accepted the enhancements this time around. She also wore a beautiful gold and white long sleeved top that blended with a brown pants. Dalia also accessorized her with golden dragon shaped earrings. Chief Benja marveled at his daughter. 

"Raya! Woah! You are so beautiful!" exclaimed the Chief.

Raya blushed and said, "Thank you Ba... Uh... Dalia put everything together though. She is amazing." 

"And that creativity of her reflects perfectly! So are you ready to head to Fang?" asked the Chief.

"Yeah I am. A long journey ahead..." said Raya.

Chief Benja chuckled and said, "Who said anything about a long journey? Sisu and another of her siblings agreed to fly your carriage. They estimated that it'll probably take a minute or 2 to arrive there if you fly there."

Raya got a little nervous and said, "Uh...are you sure about this Ba?"

"Yes I am dewdrop, don't worry, you're going to be fine." 

At the same time, Sisu and Pengu approached. Raya and Benja both bowed to the dragons and Pengu said, "Taking you to Fang will be such an honor your majesty."

"I'm the honored one, I'm so happy about your generous offer!" said Raya.

"Of course, princess. Well, I'm sure you're excited to meet the princess and Chief of Fang." replied Pengu.

"Ah yes, the scent of attachment." said Sisu teasingly.

Raya blushed and said, "Oh stop it..."

Pengu chuckled and said, "Well, let's get going."

Raya hugged her Ba and said, "I'm going to miss you so much Ba, but I'll see you in 3 days."

"I'll miss you too dewdrop. Be safe and have fun!"

"Thank you, I will."

Raya then quickly went inside the palace to say her goodbye to Dalia. Dalia was looking though some documents and a smile instantly popped on her face when she saw Raya. Raya went into her embrace and said, "Thank you so much for helping me!"

"Of course sweetie, You look so beautiful! I'm sure Princess Namaari will be delighted."

Raya blushed at the mention of Namaari. A look of sadness quickly took over Dalia's face and Raya noticed and said, "Is everything okay? It seems as though something is bothering you for quite a while now and that is bothering me..."

"No, don't worry dearest. I'm okay. I just had a quick flashback. It happens."

"Well I guess, AND I can't wait to see the gift you have for me at Fang."

"I hope you'll love it. It's either you'll be super happy or super mad. And I'm praying it won't be the latter."

"I'm pretty sure nothing can be that bad." said Raya.

"We'll see, princess." Said Dalia.

They shared a final hug before Raya departed to Fang. She was pretty nervous about flying but braved up and she even enjoyed the view of the river and and the forested lands. In Fang, the dragons landed and Fang guards were along the path. Namaari was so blown away by Raya's beauty. She took her hand and said, "Welcome to Fang, dep la."

"Thank you so much for this entrance! I love it so much."

As the duo walked to inside the palace, the guards bowed to them both. When inside the palace, Namaari said, "You are so beautiful! Your beauty is so divine, Raya."

"Thank you so much." Raya hugged Namaari then said, "Oh um, did you receive something from Heart?"

"No...I heard that we were expecting something thrilling for you. Whatever it is should be here anytime soon." replied Namaari.

"I'm a bit anxious...Dalia said that I'll either  be super happy or super upset about it."

"Dalia? Isn't she the servant who...?"

Raya nodded yes and said, "But I've been positive about it because of what you told me and someone else emphasized it."

"I'm so happy I helped you out dep la. I-"

"Namaari!" interrupted a voice in the distance. 

Namaari turned around and saw Kina approaching. Raya raised a brow when she saw the slight smile that appeared across Namaari's face. Kina gasped when she saw how beautiful Raya looked. She said, "Hello...Princess R-Raya?"

"That's right." replied Raya with a smile.

"That's lovely, I'm Kina. I'm Namaari's best friend."

"Oh...nice to meet you..."

Raya felt a thorn of jealousy stab her heart but she tried to keep on a bold face. 

"You too, I was just stopping to greet you. I hope you enjoy your stay at Fang. There's so much Namaari and I want to show you." said Kina.

"Thank you, I appreciate it." replied Raya, forcing a smile that fortunately came off as one that's genuine.

Kina departed and Namaari smiled at Raya and said, "Let's get you settled in your room."

"I thought I'd stay with you in your room since we'll be spending time together." Said Raya. When she realized what she said and how sus it may come off, she smacked her forehead.

Namaari found her actions so amusing and said, "Well sure. You can stay with me. Some guards should be taking your stuff out of the carriage."

"Oh um, I'll go and help out." Said Raya.

"Me too." 

While Namaari walked behind her, she saw her mother in the distance who motioned to her to immediately go to her. 

"My mother's calling me Raya, I'll be there shortly." Said Namaari.

"Okay no problem." replied Raya.

Namaari went to her mother who had a mix of emotions. She looked excited, happy, confused...and she had a letter of some sort in her hand.

"Mother, are you okay?" asked Namaari.

"Of course not! I-I don't even know how I feel, morning mist." replied Virana.

"What makes you think that mother?" asked Namaari.

"You remember that we were expecting something from Heart that should be directed to Raya, right?"

"Yeah, I do remember. Is it that letter?"

"Most certainly. But do not just blurt out any expressions...we have to be really delicate about this. We don't know how Raya will take this information. I hope it isn't a negative reaction though, but I never expected this at all. Take a look."

Namaari took the letter from her mother and it read:

From Chief Benja and Madam Dalia~ It is with great pleasure that we announce our hopes of togetherness and ruling the beautiful land of Heart together along with Princess Raya of course, a very noble, brave, amazing, sweet young warrior. I, Chief Benja, am honored to announce to you Kumandra will welcome another young heir in the next 9 months since Madam Dalia is pregnant.
