Part 19 - Sweet Serenity

Namaari anxiously waited for Raya to show up. Over 10 minutes have passed and she was starting to get impatient. Meanwhile, Dalia moisturized and brushed through Raya's hair after she showered, making her look extra beautiful.

"Ready to see Ms. Undercut?" asked Dalia.

"I suppose...Oh and actually, 'Princess Undercut' is a nickname I have for her."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, I used it to flir- I mean...teasingly bec-"

"Flirt? So you've been flirting with her?" asked Dalia with a smirk.

Raya tried not to blush but her efforts were futile. 

"Nnn-no"

"Mhmmm" hummed Dalia sarcastically.

She tried reminding herself that she was mad at Namaari for how she treated her but her deep feelings only poured more love into her heart. She took a deep breath and Dalia guided her to where Namaari was. Raya avoided eye contact as she entered the room. Dalia left them both in there and closed the door.

There was a moment of silence before Namaari said, "Hey..." 

"Hi...Namaari."

"Raya, I have some explaining to do. I wasn't myself when I mistreated you. Kina placed a necklace around my neck with a manipulative gemstone. I don't even know how I dealt with you. I'm just telling you how my mother said I treated you. I'd never do something like that to you. Raya, you know I love you and I am deeply sorry for how I treated you."

Namaari got up and went over to Raya and held both her hands. Raya was still avoiding eye contact but it was apparent that she was crying. "I was... s-so hurt." 

"I know and I am so sorry. So much could have happened to you especially going away on your own without resources to help you. I can't apologize enough dep la."

Namaari hugged her and Raya was more than happy to be in her lover's arms again. After embracing each other for a while, Namaari said, "And I have something else to say to you."

"Okay sure." replied Raya.

"Since all this happened, I just feel a major attachment to you. Like I want to protect you, I want to care for you more and most of all, love you. I cherish you so greatly, Raya. And I was so unsure before but now, I'm ready to call you my girlfriend. What happened fully confirmed my love for you."

Raya smiled at her sweetly while in tears and she embraced Namaari even tighter without immediately saying anything. After a while she said, "I love you dep la."

"I love you too." replied Namaari. "But...we'll probably have to keep our relationship a secret."

Raya sighed and said, "But why?"

"I'm pretty sure that people probably already speculate that I'm not straight since I'm not a typical female but if we show affection, rumors could even start. And I don't want that, especially for you." said Namaari.

"I don't care about what anyone thinks. I'm heir to Heart, we saved the world and most of all, my personal life is not anyone's concern. Besides, Dalia has accepted us being together." said Raya.

"That's true but let's keep the extreme affection for when we are alone together." said Namaari.

"Like now?" 

Namaari smirked and said, "Right."

Raya blushed as Namaari leaned in to kiss her lips gently. Raya gave in and they made out sensually.

"I will always protect you dep la." whispered Namaari as she stared Raya in the eyes.

"Me too, Princess Undercut...Oh um...Kina guided me here and she was staying in the palace. I can't believe she made me think you were a threat." said Raya.

"I am a threat. A threat to her. Because no one messes with me and my girlfriend. And General Atitaya and myself restrained her. The army brought her back home and were instructed to imprison her. She was trying to escape here by quickly riding away on her serlot and that was when we caught her." explained Namaari.

"Oh, that's great." said Raya in relief.

"Yes dep la."

"I'm just glad that everything is back to normal. I was just so worried."

"Well, everything is indeed okay again. Want us to head back to Fang soon?"

"I don't know, I'm still weak. I fainted when I arrived here but I'm okay now."

"You...FAINTED?! You're being serious right now??"

Raya casually kissed Namaari on the cheek and said with a small giggle, "Yes and I'm okay dep la, and my soon -to-be stepmom helped me out."

Namaari smiled and said, "It's great to know that you resolved your emotions towards Dalia."

"Yeah and I'm a little thrilled about becoming a big sister."

"Oh, that little one won't have to worry about being hurt by anyone. My dep la is a badass and will surely protect him/her." teased Namaari.

Raya laughed and said, "Right..."

The couple decided to spend the rest of the day relaxing together in Heart and Namaari's mind was somewhat fixated on Kina. She was hurt that Kina really tried to control her, seeing as they were friends. In the late evening, Raya fell asleep in her girlfriend's arms in her room. Namaari smiled seeing how peaceful Raya was and protected. After a while, she lifted and gently placed Raya properly on her bed, loosened the curtains and turned off the lights. She went in the bed and held Raya closely as she too slowly fell asleep.
