Part 47 - Astra

Raya and Namaari had returned after several hours after the Chief and Dalia left but they were both so exhausted that they just showered and went to bed. The following morning, a servant knocked on the door to wake them. Namaari woke first and she yawned. She smiled when she saw how peacefully Raya was sleeping. She kissed her neck and said, "Wake up dep la."

Raya only groaned and pulled the blanket over herself. 

"Well someone is a little grumpy this morning. We need to get ready for breakfast." said Namaari.

Raya stretched and finally decided to get up. She looked disheveled and irritated. "You woke me from a really good dream!" she complained.

"What was the dream?" asked Namaari.

"You and I were...doing stuff." said Raya shyly.

"Were we? What kind of stuff?" 

"You know, kissing, touching..."

"It can become a reality now."

Raya blushed and nodded yes. Before their lips connected in a kiss, there was another knock.

"Good morning. What is it?" asked Raya.

"Good morning your majesty, Chief Benja would like if you can get refreshed and meet him in the infirmary." explained the servant.

"Oh...okay, thank you."

"Do you know if something happened to him?" asked Namaari.

"No, I better hurry and see what's going on."

"Okay dep la, go ahead and let me know."

Raya went to conduct her normal morning routine and did her hair in a messy ponytail before heading to the infirmary. When she opened the door, she was greeted by the cries of a baby and then it hit her. Dalia had given birth! She gasped and went to her while she breastfed her baby.

"Mom... You...you're...actually a MOM!"

Dalia chuckled and said, "Yes Raya, I gave birth about 4 hours ago. And she is your little stepsister, Princess Astra."

"She's so adorable!" exclaimed Raya. "I'm so happy for you!"

"Thank you darling, it wasn't easy though."

"I can only imagine...One of the reasons I might not want to have any kids." said Raya.

"Raya, I know you're scared and I was extremely scared. I felt like I couldn't do it and even though the healing process will be uncomfortable, I brought a beautiful, healthy baby girl into this world. If you desire to have kids in the future, don't let the journey scare you away because in the end, it's worth it." explained Dalia.

Raya smiled and said, "Thank you for that encouragement. I'll consider it in the future."

"Okay darling. Want to get a hold of Astra?"

"Sure."

Dalia gently handed Astra to Raya and she was in awe. Astra was just so adorable. Raya used to think kids were a burden but after holding this newborn, her perspective completely changed on kids. 

"She is just so cute! I'd like to have the honors of decorating her crib"

"Aww thank you dear, of course you can. The decor is already there but I wasn't expecting her this early so I'd really appreciate that."

Raya handed Astra back to her mother and then said, "Of course! It's an honor mom, but I'll get on with it and visit again soon."

"Okay dear, take your time." replied Dalia.
