They entered the library and Raya said, "Woah, It's amazing!"
"Certainly dep la. So you wanna know about the cave."
"Yeah, especially the cendrawa- what's it called?."
Namaari chuckled and said, "Cenderawasih. Okay so I believe books about the different animals are in the left section. I'll search for any books that talk about gemstones."
"Alright, thank you for your help dep la."
"Of course sweetie." replied Namaari.
Raya blushed at the pet name and then went in search of any books that would possibly explain anything about mythical creatures but after hours of searching, she found nothing. It was getting pretty late but she was just so desperate. She then felt a hand on her shoulder and was startled.
"Dep la, we've had no luck so far and it's pretty late." said Namaari.
"Oh...I'm so sorry Namaari, I was just so lost in thought...you can go to your duties or do whatever you want. I'm so sorry." replied Raya.
"And you need to get some delicious dinner too. You can resume later." Said Namaari.
"Alright."
Namaari helped her up and Raya had a wave of dizziness and almost toppled. Namaari caught her in time and said, "Woah easy dep la, You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"Alright let's go but I'm not taking my arm from around you. Don't want you falling." replied Namaari with a wink
Raya blushed as they headed out the library. After dinner, Raya went back to the library but didn't tell Namaari as she was too busy talking with General Atitaya about Fang's new expansion plans.
While Raya went through another book, she heard footsteps. She turned around and the steps stopped immediately.
"Who's there?" She called out bravely.
She felt as though she was being watched and she got up and quietly went to where she heard the footsteps coming from. When she looked behind one of the aisles, she saw...Kina.
"What are you doing here?" asked Raya.
"What does it look like I'm doing Princess?"
"Well if you're in here to read, why were you being so sneaky?"
"I was not. I usually come in here to read books in the late evenings. Seems like you're an owl too." Said Kina casually.
"Well...no. I was just curious about something. Oh and sorry if I offended you in any way earlier today."
Raya noticed how depressed Kina seemed and she said, "That's fine but are you okay?"
"Why do you even care... You have no reason to."
"And what makes you think that?"
"You're a princess and higher than everyone... you and Namaari." said Kina, the latter part of her speech in a flirty, sarcastic way.
"I am not higher than anyone. Stop making assumptions about me. And do you have a problem with me and Namaari?" asked Raya.
"Of course not. Anyways, I'm fine and I'd rather be left alone."
"As you wish." Said Raya before leaving the library.
She was flustered and returned to the front of the palace where she saw Namaari and Chief Virana talking. She could have sworn that she saw Namaari give her a look of frustration. As she approached, Namaari said, "Raya...where were you?"
