Part 20 - Returning

The Sun rose the next morning, kickstarting the new day in Kumandra. It was a cloudless day and the Sun seemed to shine in every corner. Light was also shed on the actions of Kina. By then, all of Fang knew about her deeds. Many also looked down on her for being gay and small protests even began to have her publicly severely punished. She was in a prison cell all alone with only the companion of a passing rodent or bug. It was dark and musky with barely any light, contrasting the beautiful morning light that shone. She was upset, jealous, hurt and felt stupid. Feeling the complete weight of guilt on her shoulders, she sat in the fetal position and sobbed.

"Do you think she should be punished for homosexuality?" asked Virana.

"I don't think we should. People have their suspicions about Princess Namaari and the law is for everyone. If you punish her for that and Namaari confirms her sexuality, the same will have to go for her." replied General Atitaya.

"I doubt that Namaari is a lesbian. She is only masculine and she takes her work seriously. I doubt she's even interested in anyone to that extent." replied Virana.

"Oh I wouldn't be so sure about that, Chief." 

Virana raised a brow and said, "What makes you think that?"

"Uh, I think you should ask her about her orientation."

"Are you in suspicion of anyone that she may be int- wait... Hmm... I think I indeed should."

Virana's mind went on Raya. The two do have a deep connection.

"She's returning today, right?" asked the Chief.

"Yes she will."

"Good, I will have a moment with her. But there will be no homosexuality punishment for Kina. However, she will face the consequences of her actions towards my daughter. Before I make that official though, we need to know more about that gem. And we need to know how she was able to do what she did. She will be detained but dangers could still loom if such power falls into the wrong hands. When Namaari arrives we can study it together."

"Understood Chief Virana."

"Rayaaa, it's time to get up." Said Namaari softly as she gently shook her girlfriend.

Raya stretched and slightly opened her eyes then she was greeted by Namaari's beautiful smile. "Hey Princess Undercut." she said sleepily.

"Good morning dep la, how are you feeling?"

"I'm tireddd."

Raya snaked her arms around Namaari, dragging her down on top of her. Namaari blushed and said, "Not too tired for this though, huh?"

"Nope." said Raya with a smirk.

Namaari kissed her lips passionately and said, "Let's go get ready for the day."

"Not yettt...I want more time with you."

Namaari smirked at her and said in a deeper, seductive tone, "To do what?"

"To um...uh...get...romantic?"

"I see." Namaari leaned in to kiss Raya more passionately and also placed a hand on Raya's leg. 

The sensation startled Raya and she gasped. Before she could savor the moment, there was a knock on her door, startling them both.

"Raya? May I enter?" said the familiar female voice.

"It's Dalia." whispered Raya to Namaari.

Raya got up and opened the door. Dalia was delighted to see her and she gave Raya a hug and kiss on the forehead.

"Good morning darling, how are you feeling?"

"I'm well, thank you. How about you?" replied Raya.

"I'm wonderful. Oh I thought uh- Princess Namaari was staying with you."

"She is."

Raya widened the door and Namaari smiled at Dalia.

"It's great to see you, Princess." said Dalia.

"Likewise Ma'am." was Namaari's simple yet kind response.

"Well, I'll be leaving you both to get refreshed. Breakfast will be ready in a few minutes so I'll see you soon."

"Okay." replied the Princesses in unison.

Raya gently closed the door and said, "So much for our romantic moment."

"Oh, don't worry, we will have our desired privacy."

"I hope so. Well, let's get ready to go to breakfast then leave for Fang." replied Raya.

Namaari saw how disappointed her girlfriend was about the fact that their private moment was interrupted and Raya clearly craved more before her desire was extinguished. They went to have breakfast together and said goodbye to Chief Benja and Dalia before getting ready and departing back to Fang. 

They arrived in Fang in a couple of hours and Chief Virana greeted them both with a hug. 
"Raya dear, how are you?" 

"I'm doing well, thank you Chief Virana." replied Raya.

"You both had a long journey back here. How about you just relax for the rest of the day?"

"We sure will, thank you mother." replied Namaari.

Namaari led Raya to her room and when they finally arrived after the extensive flight of stairs, Raya lied on the floor on her back.

"F-finally!" she said while panting.

Namaari leaned over her and said, "So tired already?"

"No..I-I'm fine." replied Raya as she tried to calm down.

Namaari laughed and said, "You're so sweet when you're exhausted. Just take deep breaths."

Namaari held her hands as she got ready to help her up but Raya blushed. 

"Princess, just letting you know that your mo-" The General was shocked and cringed since she felt as though she was interrupting a presumed private moment since they were in a compromising position. "I'm sorry I-"

"No, no. I was just helping Raya up." replied Namaari as she pulled up her girlfriend.

"Oh um- Well Chief Virana would love to see you for a moment after you get settled in and comfortable." said the General.

"Noted, thank you."

To not let the General get too suspicious, Namaari said deliberately loud enough for the General to hear, "Extra much? You're on the ground panting so hard after a few stairs..."

She winked at Raya who caught the gist and said, "Seems like I need to exercise more."

Namaari closed her door and breathed a sigh of relief. "That was close."

"But it's not like we were doing anything. We literally were not." said Raya.

"But I know what you want dep la."

Namaari loosened the curtains in her room and then smirked at Raya before pulling her in for a hug and then kissing her. Raya enjoyed the moment although she was paranoid about being caught. After their kiss, Namaari said, "My mother wants to see me. Get settled in here dep la, I'll return shortly."

"Can't I come?" asked Raya.

"Well, I don't think that'll be a problem. Let's go to her."
