Nyx never imagined how a fairy tale looked like.

Ngayon lang.

The small church was adorned by the highland flowers particularly the sunflowers. The church looked so alive. Nakapila na ang entourage mula sa view niya sa sasakyan.

Her mother and father held her hands clutching the bouquet.

"Maging masaya ka, anak. Magkakaroon ka na rin ng pamilya. Huwag mo na kami masyadong isipin. Okay na kami ng Tatang mo. Ang mga kapatid mo ay okay na rin."

"Kung gusto mong manatili sa farm, okay lang. Kung mas gusto mong pagtuunan ng pansin ang asawa mo at ang magiging pamilya niyo, okay lang din, anak."

"Salamat, 'nang. Salamat 'tang."

She hugged them before they went out of the car. Medyo malamig ang simoy ng hangin pero hindi niya alintana ang ginaw. It was her day and everything was perfect.

As she ascended the steps, her bridal march song was more audible now. It gave her goosebumps.

As she stood by the door. She can see her parents, siblings, the people from the cooperative, Azrael's family, Mother Superior and the other nuns, and their Versailles family.

There he stood at the end of the aisle, waiting for her.

Stop the clocks, it's amazing
You should see the way the light dances off your head
A million colours of hazel, golden and red
Saturday morning is fading
The sun's reflected by the coffee in your hand
My eyes are caught in your gaze all over again

We were love drunk, waiting on a miracle
Tryna find ourselves in the winter snow
So alone in love like the world had disappeared
Oh, I won't be silent and I won't let go
I will hold on tighter 'til the afterglow
And we'll burn so bright 'til the darkness softly clears

Oh, I will hold on to the afterglow
Oh, I will hold on to the afterglow

The weather outside's changing
The leaves are buried under six inches of white
The radio is playing, Iron & Wine
This is a new dimension
This is a level where we're losing track of time
I'm holding nothing against it, except you and I

We were love drunk, waiting on a miracle
Tryna find ourselves in the winter snow
So alone in love like the world had disappeared
Oh, I won't be silent and I won't let go
I will hold on tighter 'til the afterglow
And we'll burn so bright 'til the darkness softly clears

Oh, I will hold on to the afterglow
Oh, I will hold on to the afterglow
Oh, I will hold on to the afterglow

As she walked down the aisle with her parents, her eyes remained on the man waiting for her. It's like they have this communication through their eyes.

When it's time, her father handed her over to Azrael. They smiled shyly at each other before walking up to the altar.

She smiled at Him. Hello po ulit.

***

Azrael once despised Him. Never stepped inside a church for a long time for Him. The last time he was here, he asked Him to bring him the happiness he deserves.

While watching her walk down the aisle, he felt His presence near him.

I know, I know.

You're here to probably watch me eat my words for not believing.

Still, despite all the bad things and words, you gave her to me.

How can I thank you? I've never felt happier.
