"How is Mr. Lin planning on making things right with my wife?" Words that were as light as a feather came from behind them. The speaker's tone was very flat without any sign of anger. Jungkook expressionlessly walked over here from a side corridor. He wrapped his arm around Ye Lisa's waist like it was routine. Standing opposite of Lin Eunwoo, he coldly stared at him.

Jungkook was very possessive. He wouldn't allow others to long for someone or something that belonged to him. In his opinion, that would be disrespecting him.

Ye Lisa inwardly sighed, but she kept a smile on her face as she looked at Jungkook. She intimately held his arm and said, "I'm just chatting with an old classmate. Why did you come here?"

"I heard you guys talking about making things right, and I came here out of impulsive curiosity." Jungkook narrowed his eyes and looked at Lin Eunwoo with a gaze tinged with oppressiveness.

Lin Eunwoo's expression didn't change. He looked like he had no intention of backing down.

Their gazes crossed, and the faint collision caused fierce sparks.

"Mr. Jeon heard wrong. Your wife and I were just reminiscing."

"Reminiscing?" Jungkook's lips slowly curved into a smile, but from Ye Lisa's point of view, she only felt trepidation in the face of disaster.

Jungkook and Lin Eunwoo would be on opposing sides just from their identities. And right now, Lin Eunwoo didn't have the capital to face off with Jungkook. Where did he get the courage to stand in front of Jungkook and challenge him?

Shouldn't the best policy be to hide and secretly grow in power?

Ye Lisa truly didn't understand why Lin Eunwoo would take the initiative to send himself to Jungkook's door.

"I know that Mr. Lin and my wife have a history together, but I'm not a petty person. The past is the past. There's no need to bring it up now. So Mr. Lin, what you said about making things right, that's completely unnecessary."

It sounded as if he had no ill-feelings towards Lin Eunwoo and Ye Lisa's past relationship.

Such tolerant and magnanimous words, it didn't sound like something Jungkook would say.

After saying that, Jungkook took out the blood jade bracelet that Lin Eunwoo had given to Ye Lisaand held it in front of Lin Eunwoo. Jungkook's gaze was mocking and contemptuous. He looked at this priceless blood jade bracelet as if it was worthless.

"Mr. Lin, you should give this bracelet to someone you're fated with. My wife can only wear jewelry that I give her."

It was rare for Jungkook to show such patience towards Lin Eunwoo and speak civility with him. Taking the time to speak slowly? That wasn't in Jungkook's standard behavior. 

It was a bit hard for Ye Lisa to keep the smile on her lips. She wanted to refute Jungkook's declaration of sovereignty, but since they had a prior agreement, she went along with his words. "Mr. Lin, thank you for kind intentions. This is the gift your mother prepared for her future daughter-in-law, and this bracelet is so expensive too. I really can't accept it."

When a husband and wife were of the same mind, their sharpness could cut through metal. Seeing that they were of one mind when it came to dealing with an outside party, their attitude was clear-cut, and their trust for each other was absolute, Lin Eunwoo should understand what to do next.

"I didn't have any other intentions. I gave this bracelet to thank Mrs. Jeon for taking care of my mother and keeping her company in the last part of her life. I think my mother would be very happy to see me doing this. I hope that you won't refuse."

Jungkook slightly furrowed his brow. "Mr. Lin, I don't say this to be offensive, but in my opinion, Lisa took care of your mother without expecting a reward. She gave her sincerity, but now, you're giving her a material good in return. Mr. Lin, don't you think that’s inappropriate?"

Lin Eunwoo paused for a moment before lowering his head and chuckling.

Yeah, Ye Lisa had given her sincerity. How could he pay her back with a material good?

He took the blood jade bracelet back. "I understand."
