You Rowoom had been suppressed by Jungkook in the earlier stage of the novel, and then he was used by Jeon Yoongi in the later stage. In the end, all of his family assets went to fill Jeon Yoongi’s pockets. His inheritance became the capital that Jeon Yoongi used to contend against Jungkook with.

“You accidentally provoked him?” Jungkook thought that his wife was intriguing. “You can even provoke him?”

Ye Lisa explained, “You Rowoon had once pursued Meng Jisoo. I don’t know why, but they broke up later on. Afterwards, You Rowoon was so angry that he had her blacklisted. Now that our company signed on Meng Jisoo as the spokesperson, that’s the same as promoting her comeback. Isn’t that making an enemy of You Rowoon and provoking him?”

Ye Lisa wasn’t planning on hiding Meng Jisoo and You Rowoon’s matter from Jungkook, but he interrupted her again.

“Look, isn't Meng Jisoo so pitiful? She was blacklisted for four years because of that b*stard You Rowoon. This can be counted as us doing a good deed, right?”

Seeing Ye Lisa’s expression that looked as if she was worried she would cause him trouble, Jungkook was delighted.

“En, you’re right. We’re doing a good deed, so you don’t need to have any psychological burdens. You don’t have to worry about You Rowoon. If anything happens, I’ll take responsibility.”

Ye Lisa went to the PR Department after obtaining that reassuring answer. She walked into the meeting room and sat down across from Meng Jisoo with a smile.

“Miss Meng, I’m very happy you accepted our company’s invitation to be our spokesperson…”

Before Ye Lisa finished speaking, the phone by Meng Jisoo’s hand rang. Meng Jisoo hung up the call, but the phone rang again. She didn’t bother putting You Rowoon's number on her ignore list because as soon as she did that, he would just get a new phone number to call her. There was nothing she could do about it.

Seeing that You Rowoon wouldn’t give up calling her, Meng Jisoo simply put her phone on silent mode and put it into her purse.

Ye Lisa noticed this.

“Miss Meng, since you’ve decided to make a comeback, let’s have a frank discussion.”

“Discuss what?”

“I know that the reason you came here today is because you love acting so much. It’s a pity that Jeon Corporation can only provide you with a spokesperson position, but it can’t provide you an acting role.” Ye Lisa paused. “Actually, I can guess that You Rowoon is the reason why you were blacklisted four years ago. Am I right?” 

Meng Jisoo lightly turned her head away. “We’ve already broken up.”

“But You Rowoon has never given up. I think that even if you announce the news of your comeback, as long as You Rowoon wants to stop you, you still won’t be able to get any roles.”

Meng Jisoo wryly smiled. “I know, but people still have to look to the future. I’ll figure it out as I go. Besides, I contacted a director I know. He’s willing to let me play the heroine in his movie.”

“Let me make a bold guess. Is it Director Ning?”

“How did you know?”

Ye Lisa meaningfully smiled. “I know that you and Director Ning were classmates, so there’s no need to guess that you have a good relationship. But Director Ning just finished his apprenticeship. He’s not famous, has no influence, and has a mediocre track record. That he chose you to be the heroine in his movie when You Jing blacklisted you shows that he’s bold. But, with all due respect, by making this decision, it’ll be difficult for Director Ning to get investors for his movie.”

This was exactly what Meng Jisoo was worried about.

You Rowoon would never allow her to make a comeback. He would definitely interfere with the filming of this movie. He couldn’t force Director Ning to not choose her, but he could have the investors not invest in Director Ning’s movie.

If he couldn’t get investors, there wouldn’t be sufficient funding and the filming couldn’t be started.

“However, if you’re willing to introduce me to Director Ning, I can fully invest in this movie.”
