After Ye Ji Eun had ruined the mood of this evening function and Jungkook went on the stage and quelled the unpleasant mood, many people were waiting to see Ye Lisa’s embarrassment, but they were met with disappointment.

They thought that since Ye Lisa and Ye Ji Eun were twin sisters and Ye Ji Eu  had performed so badly, Ye Lisa wouldn’t be able to stay out of it.

Wandering away from the crowd and holding a wine glass, Jeon Yoongi smiled as he looked at Jungkook and the others. He said to the woman by his side, “Miss Shen, this nephew of mine is quite outstanding.”

Shen Eunha’s face was pale and wan. When she looked at Jungkook, her eyes were alarmingly bright.

“Moreover, it seems that his relationship with his wife is very deep. You won’t be able to come between them.”

Shen Eunha took a deep breath. “Okay, I’ll help you get a meeting with my grandpa.”

Jeon Yoongi raised his wine glass, tilted it, and clinked it with Shen Eunha’s glass. “Happy cooperation.”

Charlie was worthy of being a professional musician. There was no one at the party that could reach his level of musical attainments. To wish Madam Zhou a happy birthday, he played two songs that thoroughly relaxed all of the guests, restored the happy mood from the beginning of the birthday celebration, and elevated it to a higher level.

At the end of the birthday celebration, Mayor Zhou and Madam Zhou smiled while symbolically cutting the birthday cake together. While Mayor Zhou and Jungkook made an appointment for a meeting, Madam Zhou handed the first slice of cake to Ye Lisa.

Soon, the birthday celebration winded down.

On the car ride back, Ye Lisa leaned on the back seat and closed her eyes to take a nap, but then she thought about how Mayor Zhou was so friendly to Jungkook near the end of the function. She asked, “Why was Mayor Zhou looking for you?"

Jungkook pulled his tightly tied tie. Smiling, he answered, “To talk about a project on the northern corner of the city.”

Ye Lisa’s eyes lit up. “An opportunity?”

“The chance was small before, but the mayor made an appointment with me to discuss it the day after tomorrow.”

Ye Lisa gave him a thumbs up. “Outstanding!”

Jungkook looked at her. The hazy light from outside spilled into the car, casting flickering light on Ye Lisa’s face. He suddenly recalled what he had wanted to say to her in the ballroom and grew ready to do something.

“I…”

“I’m a bit tired. I want to rest for a bit.” Ye Lisa closed her eyes and leaned back into the seat, seeming as if she didn’t notice Jungkook’s expression. “It's too tiring to attend a function. I don’t want to go next time.”

A helpless smile appeared on the corners of Jungkook’s mouth. He swallowed down the words he wanted to say and said instead, “You’re my wife. If I don’t ask you, who will I ask?”

Ye Lisa opened her eyes a crack and didn’t refute.

However, just when Ye Lisa thought she had attended a simple and ordinary function, she saw a video.

It was a video of Ye Ji Eun playing the piano on the stage. She didn’t know who had recorded the complete performance and posted it online. Many people had left comments below that video.

“Is this Ye Lisa or Ye Ji Eun? This performance is too awful. It’s an embarrassment to all music students!”

“Exactly! She even slammed her hands down on the piano. Oh, my God,  she’s too lacking in quality!”

“This is probably Ye Lisa? After all, Ye Zhen is Mrs. Jeon. This looks like an evening function. Jeon Jungkook probably took her to a party? CEO Jeon is probably feeling super embarrassed.”

“This looks like Ye Ji Eu . If you take too much time off from practicing piano, this is the outcome. She must be busy with work and didn’t have time to practice diligently. If she kept up with diligently practising, this wouldn’t have happened. She’s impatient and flippant.”

“I’ll make a bet that it’s Ye Ji Eun. Ye Ji Eun’s Baidu entry says she knows how to play piano.”

Under these differing opinions, a video of Jungkook playing the piano came out.

“Wow! So handsome! A domineering CEO!”

“It’s the same piano as the other video. Sure enough, it must be Ye Lisa in that earlier video!”

“Mrs. Jeon, hurry up and learn to play the piano from your husband. If you can’t learn, don’t come out and embarrass yourself!”

Jungkook had also seen the video of Ye Ji Eun.  He only glanced at it before impatiently shutting it down. He asked Qin Jennie, “What company did Ye Ji Eun sign with?”

Qin Jennie was silent for a moment. “Chaoxun Entertainment.”

Jungkook pondered this for a long time. He repeatedly rapped his knuckles against the desk.

Soon after, he sent Qin Jennie away and made a call. “Notify the people in the Investment Department to go to the conference room for a meeting.”
