Growing up in a family like the Jeon’s, it was natural that he would spend his childhood under the instructions of various home teachers. He wasn’t an expert in all the areas he studied, but he was at least competent in them. For something like piano, it was a must.

Ye Lisa could almost picture a little Jungkook being buried by an avalanche of these lessons in his childhood.

“Then you definitely didn’t have a happy and carefree childhood.”

Jungkook thought it over. “I was quite happy learning those things. It wasn’t painful.”

Ye Lisa looked at him.

“The important thing is that I had the chance to try,” Jungkook said, “I was able to experience novel things that ordinary people might never have the chance to try. Exchanging a childhood for a good life is a very worthwhile deal.”

Hearing these words, Ye Lisa couldn’t resist a more thorough look at him.

She thought it over and came to the same conclusion as him. “You’re right. If you give other people the choice to become a person like you by sacrificing their childhood, they would definitely be willing.”

Jungkook raised his eyebrows. “You’re reversing casualty. I am what I am today because I sacrificed my childhood. Moreover, not everyone can succeed.”

These strong and confident words made a ripple in Ye Lisa’s heart. She felt an indescribable shock. She had seen Jungkook’s unconventional side and also when victory was in his grasp. She was very proud of having a man like him.

“Mr. Jeon knows how to play the piano?” While they were speaking, Madam Zhou had gotten close to them at some point and vaguely overheard their conversation.

“I know a little.”

“That’s too bad. I invited the famous master pianist Charlie to come here tonight, but something came up and he couldn’t come. I can’t forget Charlie’s playing of Serenade. It's unfortunate that Serenade’s difficulty level is too high. It's very rare to find a person that can bring out the same implicit charm in that song that Charlie can…” Madam Zhou’s tone was extremely regretful.

“Serenade? Madam Zhou, I know how to play that song.”

Everyone looked towards the direction of that voice and saw the excited Ye Ji Eun standing on the side with a glass of wine.

Ye Lisa raised her eyebrows and looked at Jungkook. She was looking forward to the upcoming show!

Jungkook furrowed his brow and lowered his head to look at her. When he saw that she looked very excited with her eyes sparkling like stars, his heart stirred. He quietly asked, “Do you want to hear Serenade that much?”

Ye Lisa nodded.

Jungkook was silent for a moment, then he whispered into Ye Lisa’s ear, “Okay, I’ll make your wish come true today.”

No one noticed the intimate actions between Jeon Jungkook and Ye Lisa. Their attention was on Madam Zhou and Ye Ji Eun.

Madam Zhou looked at Ye Ji Eun in surprise. “You know how?”

When Madam Zhou asked this question, Ye Ji Eun felt lacking in confidence. However, as soon as she thought about how her relatives, friends, and classmates used to praise her when she practised playing the piano and how everyone used to circled around her like stars, confidence was born in her heart and supported her.

“Yes, Madam. I like Master Pianist Charlie a lot. I’ve practiced his Serenade many times. If you want to hear it, I can play it for you.”

“But… Serenade’s score is complicated. You…” Her tone was full of distrust.

Madam Zhou couldn’t be blamed. She truly didn’t want to hear one of her favorite music scores being ruined.

Madam Zhou’s distrustful tone made Ye Ji Eun unable to take back her offer. Conceited and ambitious, she vowed, “Madam Zhou, don’t worry. I practised this score many times. My playing can’t be compared to Master Pianist Charlie’s playing, but I can still play it without damaging the reputation of the master pianist’s score.”

However, this was just Ye Ji Eun’s bravado.

It was true that she was a fan of Charlie, but she had been busy rushing about in the entertainment industry in the recent past period and naturally had less time for anything outside of that, so she hadn’t been practising playing the piano often recently. Ye Ji Eun’s confidence came from her solid fundamentals in piano playing. She believed that she could play Charlie’s Serenade. Moreover, she was sure that she'd give everyone present a big surprise.
