Qin Jennie’s standard smile didn’t waver. “You should be very clear what I mean. We did have your name on the list of spokesperson candidates, but after consideration, we decided that you wouldn’t be suitable for endsoring our company’s products.” 

“Wait a minute. What do you mean by a list of spokesperson candidates? There were other candidates?”

“We had professionals carry out an examination for all aspects for what we want in a spokesperson. Of course, there’s a limit.”

Ye Ji Eun’s expression was becoming increasingly ugly. “Where’s Ye Lisa? Ye Lisa is your boss’s wife. Hasn’t she explained things to you guys?”

“Mrs. Jeon did explain things to us,  but after we conducted our examination, we didn’t think you were suitable. I remember that I contacted your agent and said I would notify you as soon as possible if there was any news. Thank you for taking the time to come here.”

There was nothing left for Ye Ji Eun to not understand. She had previously thought that it would be easy to get this endorsement contract, but it was only Ye Lisa making a fool of her!

“This can’t be! She promised me that she would give me the opportunity to be the spokesperson!”

“This… you’ll have to talk to Mrs. Jeon yourself. I didn’t receive word that Mrs. Jeon wants you to become the company’s spokesperson.”

Right after Qin Jennie said these words, the front desk assistant knocked on the waiting room’s door and said, “Director Qin, Miss Meng is here.”

Qin Jennie nodded and then said to Ye Ji Eun, “Miss Ye, I’ve made things clear to you. If there’s nothing else, I have to go.”

Qin Jennie walked out of the waiting room with a smile.

Ye Ji Eun’s agent’s voice sank as she asked, “Ji Eun, what’s going on?”

Ye Ji Eun clenched her hand into a fist. She flung the cup of tea onto the floor to vent her anger.

Ye Lisa! It was Ye Lisa again!

She should have known from the beginning that with Ye Lisa’s stingy personality, she would never give her any benefits!

She shouldn’t have believed in Ye Ji Eun and came to Jeon Corporation to humiliate herself!

“We’re leaving!”

Ye Ji Eun knew that she couldn’t lose her temper here. As she walked out of the waiting room while suppressing her anger, a fragrant scent wafted over. She instinctively turned towards the source of the scent and saw that Qin Jennie was smiling as she invited a woman into the conference room. She only saw the woman’s slender figure from the back as she passed through her line of sight.

The woman’s figure from the back was somewhat familiar, but Ye Ji Eun couldn’t immediately tell who she was.

Coming out of Jeon Corporation, Ye Ji Eun was burning with rage. She had the agent take a taxi back to the company by herself while she sped along the coastline in her car. When she thought of Ye Lisa’s tone and gaze when she made a fool of her, she grinded her teeth.

Suddenly, she got a call. It was Older Sister Li.

Ye Ji 3un didn’t want to answer the phone, but when she thought of Ye Lisa’s smug look, she picked it up.

“Miss Ye, have you thought over what I proposed last time?”

As soon as she heard that she was calling about that, Ye Ji Eun frowned in disgust. “Don’t call me again. There’s nothing to think about. I won’t agree to it.”

Have her accompany those greasy middle-aged pot-bellied men? Dream on!

After saying that, she made a gesture to hang up the video call.

“Wait.” Older Sister Li smiled. “Miss Ye, you’re misunderstanding. Who doesn’t know that you’re Mrs. Jeon’s older sister now? No one would dare to make you do something that you don’t want to do. There’s a gathering of rich second-generation men tonight. They’re all people in the entertainment circle and have a network of contacts. You just have to go drink a few glasses of wine with them. Don’t worry. No one will dare to do anything to you and you don’t have to do anything.

“Those wealthy second-generation men have first-class looks and conduct. They’re definitely not the type to mess around. Just go there, chat with them a bit, and treat it as making friends. It’s strictly just talking to them. If you can make friends with them, you won’t have to worry about resources.”

“Wealthy second-generation men? Who?”

Older Sister Li smiled. “You probably heard of him. His last name is You.”
