Old Master Jeon spoke confidently with a tone of finality.

Ye Lisa looked at Mother Jeon and saw that she had only straightened her back, but remained silent.

Mother Jeon was always aware of her limitations. She didn't have the right to voice her thoughts in the Jeon family. Just like how when Jungkook had been unconscious and Jeon Ji Yong had brought home an illegitimate offspring, gave this illegitimate son a position in the Jeon Corporation, and took away Jungkook's power, she could only watch.

If her maiden family hadn't fallen in status, she would be able to help Jungkook a bit. But now, it was already fortunate if she didn't become a burden to Jungkook.

"Jungkook, what do you think?"

Jungkook's emotions weren't in disarray. He merely calmly asked Old Master Jeon, "Grandpa, are you going to have Lin Eunwoo recognize his ancestors?"

Although all of the blame could be laid at Jeon Ji Yong's feet, Lin Eunwoo's identity was very awkward. He wouldn't be able to escape the reputation of being an illegitimate child. 

Lin Eunwoo was very prideful. If he could tolerate the reputation of being an illegitimate child, he could have returned to the Jeon's and be accepted as a descendent earlier. However, in the novel, Lin Eunwoo had a deep hatred of the Jeon's. Lin Jeon Ji Yong's mother had bore a grudge against Jeon Ji Yong to her dying days, which caused Lin Eunwoo to harbor resentment against the Jeon's. Don't even mention recognizing his ancestors. He didn't even want to admit that Jeon Ji Yong was his father! But Lin Eunwoo had changed from his novel self.

Ye Lisa deeply looked at Lin Eunwoo. She could no longer predict what choice Lin Eunwoo would make.

Old Master Jeon took a deep breath. "Jungkook, I can't be cold-hearted to the deceased Old Master Lin. I owe him for his kindness to me."

There was once something between Lin Eunwoo and Ye Lisa, and he was also her husband's illegitimate child. Mother Jeon wouldn't feel good living under the same roof as him. It was obvious there would be conflicts between them. If Lin Eunwoo really moved in, what would her days be like?

"Sorry grandpa, I can't accept that." Jungkook was extremely calm, and he didn't mince words. "I don't have a problem with you wanting to repay Old Master Lin's kindness. If Lin Eunwoo's father was someone else, then I would be happy to have him move into the villa. I could even become brothers with him. But his father is Jeon Ji Yong. If you let him move in, what kind of position are you putting my mother in?"

"Jungkook," Old Master Jeon said in a deep voice, "Lin Eunwoo is innocent."

Jungkook's stance was tough as always. "You say he's innocent. Is my mother not innocent? You want her to face her husband's illegitimate child every day. How do you want her to deal with that? What is she suppose to think?"

Mrs. Jeon's expression was stained with anxiety. She slightly shook her head at him. "Jungkook!"

Jungkook  turned a deaf ear, and his tone and expression remained firm. "Grandpa, I definitely won't agree to this."

His words showed that he wasn't backing down or giving any leeway to negotiate.

On the side, Jeon Yoongi said, "Jungkook, don't defy your grandfather!" It was rare to see him looking serious.

However, Jungkook didn't pay attention to Jeon Yoongi's words.

Old Master Jeon tightly gripped his cane. "Grandpa wants to recognize his grandson. You really won't agree to that?"

Old Master Jeon's words showed that he had also made up his mind.

Jungkook and Old Master Jeon were standing off.  One party was a white-haired experienced old-timer and the other party was young and full of vigor with an imposing aura that couldn't be contained. Under the circumstances, no one dared to speak.

There was sweat between Ye Lisa's squeezed hands. This looked like it was a dispute about whether or not Lin Eunwoo could recognize his ancestors, but in reality, it was a confrontation between the previous patriarch of the family and the current one.

If Jungkook gave in now, he would have to continue giving in in the future.
