Recap:
Something must have happened between Oharano and the Sagami player shortly after, because from one moment he was holding his shoulder and looking at the floor blankly, and the next he was shouting at his own teammates.
"If you have the time to complain to the referee, go after the ball!"
Kasuga was ready to fight the first year when he was stopped by Shichi.
Something else must have happened when Iwashimizu suddenly grabbed Sagami 14's collar before getting pulled away by Hachioji and Kashima.
Umeno rested her legs by kneeling onto the ground between the boys and the main manager.
"Do things seem a little strange to you?"
On with Chapter 16:
3RD PERSON POV
"Don't you think their play is a little rough?" Umeno asked her coach when Sagami had scored another try and conversion kick. The opponents were continuing with their rough plays and Jinko was still falling into their traps.
Komori glanced towards her direction before looking back at the field. "It is." he rested his hand onto his hip. "They're walking a fine line out there. They're verbally provoking our players, too. But it's all a grey area. As a strategy, it's more valid than not. Their bare-legal plays are making our players too angry to make the right calls."
"The game's moving at Sagami's pace. The way Kita has taught them to play is not very nice at all."
Oharano was looking agitated before the kick off. He dropped the ball, and let it bounce once before kicking it. However, it seemed as if his aim was off and he had kicked the ball out of the field.
"Oh, come on! What the hell is going on?!" he snapped, "I messed up because the team's body language is the pits!" I've had enough of all of you! You're starting to piss me-" "Oharano." he got cut off by the coach who was pointing at him using his fan.
"You're out." was all he said and it caused the blonde to throw his headgear onto the ground.
"Sigh, I told you so." a sigh was heard behind them. Komori and (Y/n) turned towards the voice to see the man they had been waiting for, Yoshida Satoshi, the rugby club's advisor. (Y/n) couldn't help but to grimace at his appearance. "In the end, they're only messing around in a ball game." he looked so proud saying that with a smirk.
Oharano stomped his way towards the sidelines and threw his jersey into the basket placed there for their dirty jerseys. "Dammit!"
"Ebumi." the coach called and everyone nearby looked at him, "get changed. You're in."
The blond's face lit up at the mention that he would be able to play in the game and quickly got his jersey on and grabbed his headgear. In his state of anger, Oharano didn't notice that Ebumi had been subbed in and had his injured shoulder get hit as an action of encouragement from the older.
"Eh? You're letting Ebumi play? I can't see him doing anything other than wrecking more havoc." Yoshida pointed out, more out of smug than concern, but Komori said nothing, he didn't even bother to glance at him.
Meanwhile, Ebumi has barely been on the field for a couple of minutes and he was already intimidating a player from Sagami. Matsuo came up to him and calmed him down, somehow.
Umeno was sitting beside Gion on the ground, talking to him about something, while Oharano had gotten comfortable at the back of the group, leaning against the metal fence set around the field and showing that he wants to be left alone. However, one person apparently didn't get the memo.
