"Like we said, since this morning." (Y/n) said.
Hachioji deadpanned at the scene. "I see. But he's right. Komori-san said we had gotten stronger, but a loss is still a loss. We're weak. We need to get stronger."
Sekizan suddenly stood up again and (Y/n) choked on her drink.
"It was that moment! That scrum!"
"That's enough, Taku."
On with Chapter 18:
3RD PERSON POV
"Managers, pack everything you need." Komori walked over to the managers who were busy filling up the water bottles at the water fountain. "We're going somewhere else to practice later." he said.
"Eh? Where are we going?" (Y/n) decided to ask to know what they had to bring. "To the beach." "To the beach?!" they both exclaimed in surprise. "Are we going to come back to school?" it was Umeno's turn to ask.
"I'll be training the boys there until the end time. I'll also tell them to run there, so they most likely have to come back here to get their belongings." he explained. "So you decide if you want to bring everything or not." he then left to inform the boys about it.
"Let's quickly refill the bottles before heading back to the clubroom." (Y/n) suggested before she continued to refill the bottles.
...
"We're going to the beach." Komori had gathered the team in the clubroom and "briefed" them on what the plans for today were.
"The beach?"
"Th-That sounds fun."
"Seriously? I don't have any swim trunks."
"You can wear your shorts."
The boys seem to have missed the point that they were going to the beach for training and not for fun. Komori decided to butt in to remind them, "Practice starts in an hour. It's about six kilometers to the coast at Arukimizu, the closest beach to Jinko. I'm heading there now. You'll be running there."
"What?"
That seemed to catch their attention and halt their chatting.
"Get moving." Komori said before leaving the clubroom, leaving the boys by themselves.
"We're running there? What?"
"Six... kilometers?"
He headed towards the managers who were waiting patiently for him with the bags of bottles, towels, and their clipboards.
"Let's go."
...
"Thank you, come again!"
The convenience store cashier said as the (h/c) haired manager left the store with bags of ice. She had asked Komori for permission before heading to the store. She and Umeno had added the sports drink mixture in the bottles beforehand and decided to add the ice later so the drink wouldn't be at room temperature and watery.
"It's been 40 minutes so far." Umeno said just as (Y/n) had reached their spot. She placed the bags on the floor and started unscrewing the bottles. A couple of minutes later, Ebumi was the first one to arrive at the beach.
"Ah, Ebumi's the first." Umeno pointed out to the other two.
He stopped behind Komori's seat and fell onto his hands and knees while still panting. "Hey, don't stop moving. Lactic acid will build up in your muscles." Komori warned.
