Save Me

Felix eventually fell asleep allowing his body to fully rest. His mind was so tired it couldn't even begin to process dreaming leaving Felix floating in a sea of black. As he felt his body begin to wake up from the deep sleep the faint scratching sound of charcoal on paper sang throughout his ears.

Turning over on his side Felix began to blink his tired eyes slowly open. He was facing the desk and could see Hyunjin slumped over doing something. Feeling his heart thump hard Felix knew what he said must've struck a chord with Hyunjin for him to be there.

Slowly Felix scooted himself up into a sitting position on the bed allowing his feet to dangle off the end. Hyunjin was focused in on what he was doing allowing Felix to wake up a bit before he had to talk to Hyunjin. Rubbing his eyes Felix allowed his eyes to wake up. Rubbing hard it took a couple seconds for his eyes to adjust back.

Just as his eyes adjusted, staring back at him was Hyunjin.

"How long have you been here?" Felix asked with a sleepy voice.

"Since right after you fell asleep." Hyunjin spoke standing up and walking towards the door.

Watching as Hyunjin made his way to the door Felix saw something different about Hyunjin. What were once cracks seeping light on Hyunjin became missing chunks with beaming light shooting through the missing pieces. The light that shined through Hyunjin was beautiful and captivating making Felix wanting to follow the brightness to its source.

"I'll be back." Hyunjin spoke leaving the room.

Felix watched as Hyunjin left the room closing the door behind him waiting for the familiar click of the lock. The click never came indicating the door was left unlocked. Hyunjin left the door unlocked, he must've trusted Felix enough to know he wouldn't escape.

Standing up Felix walked over to the desk Hyunjin was working at to see what he could be drawing. As he leaned over the desk the image was clear. It was him asleep in a field, familiar to the one in his dream where he was with Hyunjin in the field. His hair lay around his head in a crown with flowers dancing throughout his hair.

Just as he was about to grab the paper to examine it closer the sound of the door opening averted his attention. Looking at the door Hyunjin walked in with soup for Felix. Watching as Hyunjin walked towards the desk he gently set the bowl down.

"Sit and eat." Hyunjin asked motioning Felix to sit and eat the soup as he moved the drawing of Felix out of the way.

Following Hyunjin's request Felix sat down in the chair and began to eat. The sound of the spoon clinking the bowl echoed throughout the room as Felix ate.

"The night air is fresh tonight." Hyunjin began to speak.

Stopping mid scoop Felix turned his attention to Hyunjin waiting for what he was about to say. Preparing for what was going to follow the statement Felix looked Hyunjin in the eye waiting.

"Would you join me for a walk?" Hyunjin finished gulping hard at the end.

Felix felt his jaw drop slightly at what Hyunjin was asking him. It wasn't what he thought Hyunjin would say. Hyunjin was changing right before his eyes. Taking one last bite of the soup Felix stood up.

"Yes." Felix spoke with a smile of excitement.

Felix watched as Hyunjin grabbed the drawing and folded it up placing it in his pocket. Hyunjin then held his arm out looking at Felix as he did so. Feeling his heart flutter and his cheeks grow a soft shade of pink, Felix grabbed Hyunjin's arm as they made their way out of the room.
