Felix spent the past weeks in the bed at Chan's house, unable to move due to his broken ankle. Practically bed ridden, it gave Felix too much time to think about his life these past couple months.
He was constantly finding himself thinking of Hyunjin wondering where he was, if he was searching for Felix just as Chan had been, or if he had returned to his old ways of life. Felix was constantly stuck in a cycle of thought never being able to escape the revolving memories of Hyunjin.
Every time he closed his eyes images of his time with Hyunjin danced across his vision, making it unbearable at times. Felix rarely slept anymore because of the fear of seeing Hyunjin in his dreams.
Chan was trying his best with Felix to make way back into Felix's heart but the pain was too much for Felix, causing him to close his heart off to any sort of notion of love. Felix appreciated the attempt by Chan, but he was still hurt by everything.
Hearing the door open a smiling Chan walked in with the usual breakfast made up for him. Eggs, meat, a slice of bread on the side, and a glass of water sat on the plate as Chan placed it on Felix's lap.
"Good morning, Felix." Chan smiled as he sat at the edge of the bed waiting for Felix to begin eating.
"Morning." Felix softly spoke as he grabbed his utensils and began to pick at his food.
"I was thinking, maybe we go see Minho today? His boyfriend will be there too, but I think it'd be nice for you to see other people." Chan smiled looking at Felix.
"I can't fucking walk yet Chan." Felix backfired feeling his tired emotions take over.
Watching Chan flinch at his words, Felix sighed before placing his utensils down suddenly not hungry anymore.
"Felix, it's been a couple weeks since I found you and the doctor said its fine to use crutches, I thi--."
"I don't want to go." Felix replied with shortness to his tone.
"Then how about if they come here?" Chan spoke trying to sound chipper and convince Felix to see someone besides him.
Staring at Chan, Felix knew he wasn't going to win this one, and that he would have to talk and interact with people. He hadn't seen anyone since Chan found him. Felix had closed himself off to the world not wanting to interact with anyone or anything, but rather sit there waiting for the days to pass and hopefully his pain to subside.
"Fine." Felix sighed, picking up his utensils again and began eating.
"Great! I'll get a bath drawn for you and let Minho know. Take your time getting to the bath and call if you need anything, Lixie." Chan smiled as he stood from the bed and made his way out of the room.
Felix flinched at the name 'Lixie' leaving Chan's mouth. Its something his mother called him and a name Chan had adopted once they started their relationship, before everything fell apart. Now it was name that reminded him of too much pain and aching, making the name unbearable to hear.
Finishing his plate of food and set it on the side table next to the bed. Grabbing the wooden crutches that leaned up at the foot of the bed, Felix stood up and began to slowly make his way out of the room and to the bath to wash up.
Taking each step he felt the hard wood wedge under his arm making it more uncomfortable than the pain in his healing ankle. Slowly he approached the separate room that held the bath and closed the door behind him.
Undressing as he balanced on one foot Felix caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror for the first time since the night he ran away. His hair was longer and disheveled, his once bright skin was pale, his neck was covered in healed bite marks, and he just looked dead.
