"Here"

You tossed the jacket to them. Reiner extended his hand out and caught it. Both his and Bertholdt's eyes widen as they took in the brand new mint condition jacket sitting there in Reiner's hands.

"Where did you steal it from?" asked Bertholdt

"I didn't steal it"

"Someone just gave it to you?" asked Reiner confused.

"No, not exactly"

"Well speak, what happened?" continued Reiner, intrigued to know how you had obtain a brand new jacket instead of stealing it off a cadaver or something.

You sat on the bottom bunk bed as you leaned back, your arms holding you up.

"I had to lie my way. I don't know how I did it, but I had managed to persuade one of the superiors into talking to Erwin into giving me a brand new jacket" you huffed out

"What lie could you have possibly told them?"

"Eh, I don't want to get into it. Just be glad I managed to get a jacket without a consequence or a hint of suspicion"

Reiner didn't like that you were keeping an answer from him. He deserved to know how you had managed to convince the higher ups. It just made him upset that you refused to speak on what happened fully.

"No, I think I deserve to know" he said, beginning to raise his voice at you.

You began to blink blankly not believing what he was saying to you. You began to furrow your brows at him as your eyes narrowed at him, a scoff coming out of your mouth.

"You got the jacket you fucking wanted. Let that be the end, I don't want to get into how I got it and that's final"

"So, what now you're hiding something as simple as an answer from us. WOOOW, I wonder what else you're fucking hiding from us Y/N" he spat.

And it was like he lit a blaze of fire under your ass with that comment of his. You jumped off the bed as you stood up walking to him, your pointer finger all up in his face.

"Oi! Fuck you Reiner, I'm not hiding jack shit. I'm just trying to have some sort of decency here. I lost my fucking dignity for that fucking cloth in your hands. Least I can hear is a thank you from your filthy mouth"

"Filthy?! look who's-"

"ENOUGH" cut Bertholdt inside the rising argument that began growing between you and Reiner.

Bertholdt took the jacket from Reiners hands as he studied it. He can already imagine Annie filling in the jacket, marking it as her property with her scent. He look back up at both you and Reiner.

"Stop Arguing you two. Reiner if she said she lost her dignity to get this jacket, then we must respect her. She does have the right to demand a thank you. It wasn't an easy task after all"

"Thank you Bertholdt, at least someone understands"

"Shut up" muttered Reiner under his breathe.

You sent him a glare as Bertholdt cleared his throat behind you, sending a glare at Reiner as well. Reiner looked at the both of you, back and fourth before he sighed in defeat. He averted his eyes away from Bertholdt and looked at you.

"Thank you Y/N. I won't ask again"

A smug smile illustrated your face as you stared at Reiner.

"Sure, whatever" you said in an unimpressive tone only to make him madder.

You folded your arms as you return back to your seat at the bottom bunk.

"So what's the plan, How are we gonna get the jacket to Annie?" you asked

"We are still on the works with that, but I'm sure Bertholdt here..."

Reiner put his hand on one of his shoulders,

"Can figure out how to see Annie with the amount of determination he has for her"

Bertholdt's face began to heat up. You couldn't help but actually smile at how flustered he looked every time Annie was mentioned. Closing your eyes you nodded at the statement.

"yeah, I agree with that. I'm sure Bertholdt is smart enough to handle this task"

"Yeah, What do you think Bertholdt?" said Reiner squeezing his shoulder.

"...I don't know"

That answer didn't seem to please neither you or Reiner. Reiner looked over to you with a look that asked you to help him convince Bertholdt into going through with it. He knew you wouldn't accept the task because you had just finished this one and you'd start to nag about how it was always you who did everything.

And it was true, because no way in hell were you going to do everything for them. After all this was their plan and you were just contributing for a small price of a home.

You rubbed your hands on your pants as you went into thought. With that, you let out a loud exaggerated sigh as you stood up.

"It's fine Reiner, I'll do it"

"You will?!" both heads of the males turned to you as they asked in surprised.

You shrugged at them.

"I mean, he's gonna chicken out and I know you're not gonna do it. Plus I wouldn't mind some alone time with Annie, just the two of us."

Bertholdt mind was caught at your words.

He watched as you began walking towards the door of the room to exit out.

" I could even maybe catch up with her before. Maybe even tell her a goodbye from all of us in case..you know..."

You opened the door about to step out before you turned to them, eyeing Bertholdt straight in the eyes.

"Something were to happen to us or her"

You could see Bertholdt's eyes widen as they looked at you. His pupils began to shake a bit at the mer thought of watching Annie die and not be able to even say goodbye to her.

He didn't want that. No. He couldn't allow that. But there was a high possibility of a scene like that to play out and he knew it.

He knew he couldn't risk it and say it wasn't going to happen and miss the opportunity to speak to her one last time. Tell her at least a good bye.

He blinked away from his thought as he heard you saw good bye.

"Wait!" you heard Bertholdt call out midway into you closing the door.

You felt yourself smirk as you held the door to a stop. You turned to him with a soft smile.

"Yes Bertholdt?"

"...I'll do it" he said.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah" he breathed out

You looked over to Reiner who stood behind him. He sent you a smile along with a nod.

"Very well" you smile and nodded back.

You turned back to the door.

"If that's what you want Bertholdt" you said before you shut the door behind you.
