The Wall

The darkness of the wall in front of you seemed so entertaining.

Like you wanted to walk into that darkness and never emerge out of it.

This game of yes and no of having Erwin or not has been really driving you insane and for it to be finally coming to an actual end because of Bertholdt put you in another mixture of emotions.

A confused feeling of relief for not having to go back n forth anymore,

Almost making you feel like you can breathe properly again.

And yet, a strong streak of anger flushing throughout your body for having to obey now

And It wasn't complete without the final deep consuming feeling of heartbreak,

cause you just didn't want to part from Erwin

because like you had already confessed to yourself,

you wanted him and not Eren.

because you loved him.

Staring at the wall felt like only a split second as your scene had transition.

You heard the door open with strong force and quickly close. You could hear rapid footsteps rushing over to you and a rich, warm familiar voice of worry calling out your name.

Your eyes didn't seem to leave the wall up until you felt his strong arms holding on to you and his figure blocking your view. His scent of Amber White clung all around you and his voice and lips pressed against your ear. You felt your eyes start to burn, glisten, and drown out your vision as your hands reached out to grab him, gripping his shirt tightly.

His hand brushed down your back making you shiver as you closed your eyes.

"It's ok, I'm here now. Everything's okay" you heard him assure you

"I know" you whispered

He pulled away from you

"Do you want to talk about it?"

You shook your head,

"No, I just want to forget it even happened"

Erwin's jaw clenched.

What ever must of happened must of been really bad for you to be thinking that way. He knew you've never been the one to tolerate anything from no one. But he also recognized that once you settled on not wanting to talk about it, he knew you wouldn't budge.

Instead all he could do was be there for you in that moment just like you were there for him.

"Hey, guess what" he whispered out to you, trying to lighten the mood

"Hmm"

You felt something poke you. Pulling away from him, he shot you a warm caring smile before he nudged his head down. Glancing down you felt your heart ache just a bit more as you caught sight of the book he had promised you to fix. A smile reached your lips as your fingers brushed over the cover.

"Did you actually?" you said in disbelief

"I did"

You opened the book and flipped through the pages to where you had it smudged. And right away you were quick to notice he had scrapped the entire pages and rewrote it all in better and clear writing.

"I only said the smudge ones. This must of taken you forever to do"

"Yeah well, it was torture having to see you squint all the time trying to make out the words"
