Blackbird

*(Y/N)'s POV*

'Bruce, Shuri! Get the Stone and Vision out of here, now!'

I hurried with the others to get the weapons and out of the tower. Shuri was already done with the extraction and Bruce was getting the stone in a safe place to move it. Vision was a little confused, seemed to be himself non the less.

'Wanda stay with Vision, we don't know how he'll be able to fight if the stones not in his head anymore.'

Wanda was ready to fight too but understood my plea to her and stayed back with Vision. The others where already on the field, waiting for what will happen next. As I walked out as well I stand next to Sam and Bucky. We look up the sky as a speeding drop ship approaches and explodes against the invisible force field surrounding Wakanda.

'Hey, Cap, we got a situation here.',I hear Sam next to me and through the coms.

'God, I love this place',Bucky states just as the second ship explodes.

Rhodeys voice said through coms 'Yeah, don't start celebrating yet, guys. We got more incoming outside the dome.'

A series of drop ships plunges to earth like meteors, many landing outside the protective force field. One ship seems to have send a shock wave of sort that now rippled through the force field. Steve and T'challa share a look of rage just before Vision appears behind us all.

'We need to destroy the stone now.'

T'challa gets moving, so does the Dora Milaje.
'We will hold them off.'

Steve nods before T'challa and the others make their way to the fight.

'Wanda, the Stone is out of his head, blow it to hell!'

'I will.'

The intercoms crack again, T'challas voice, giving orders to his team.

'Evacuate the city. Engage all defenses. And get Captain a shield!'

And someone did, in fact give him a shield, actually two. Now he was strapping them on giving me a look.

'We got this. You'll see.'

As he came over to me I look into his eyes. Something like regret and hurt shining in them.

'(Y/N) when I say I regret how we met I mean it, yet I wouldn't change a thing about it. I just want you to know this. There is something Bucky and I used to say to each other before going to war and I feel the same way about it towards you so here it goes. I love you  and I am with you... 'till the end of the line. Now let's go kick this Thanos' guys ass, Blackbird.'

My mouth hung wide open as I was speechless. I loved him more than anything, sometimes even so much I forget I have a family outside of this team, that somehow also became a family to me. I decided it was best to say nothing and kiss him. He knew I loved him and when this is over, I'll tell him with words, yet now wasn't the time to make out so I let go of him and got my knives out and ready to fight.

'Let's get this son of a bitch.'

And we did. Wakandan hover crafts pick us up up front and bring us towards the outer side of Wakanda where the shock wave had come from. I look up to see Falcon flying over us and Nat next to me, checking if Bruce got the Hulk-buster to work.

'How we looking, Bruce?'

'Yeah, I think I'm getting the hang of it.'

In the Hulk-buster suit he leaps high amidst the fleet.

'Wow! This is amazing man! It's like being the Hulk without actually being the Hulk!'

And then he grunts and trips over a giant rock, landing on his face.

'I'm okay. I'm okay.'

War machine shakes his head in disbelieve before flying overhead besides Falcon.

'I got two heat signatures breaking through the tree line.'

They fly towards the edge of the forest over formations of wakandan warriors.

'Guys there are two alien looking dudes speaking some sort of alien language.'

Sam seems somewhat confused as he never had an interaction with extraterrestrials, but I recognized them. Well at least one of them, the woman. She was the one that attacked Wanda back in London. Proxima something I think. That bitch has it coming for what she did to Wanda and Vision.

A warrior shouted in Xhosa. More wakandan forces and Dora Milaje jump out of the hover crafts and join the army of warriors standing in formations. T'challa, his kings guard, Bucky, Steve, Natasha and me join M'Baku at the front lines. Jabari men chant and grunt, anticipating the fight. M'Baku and T'challa clasp each others forearms.

'Thank you for standing with us.'

'Of course, brother.'

The Proxima-chick and the other alien stand atop a hill, outside of the invisible dome, grinning at us, waiting. The woman runs the blade of a sword against the force field, making it crack with electricity, trying to break it.
Nat, Steve, T'challa and I approach them from the safe side. Natasha is the first to break the silence, mocking the woman.

'Where's your other friend?'

'You will pay for his life with yours. Thanos will have that stone.'

I took a step towards them, standing the ground, head held high. T'challa next to me now.

'That's not gonna happen.'

'You are in Wakanda now. Thanos will have nothing but dust and blood.',his wakandan accent thick with power.

'We have blood to spare',the alien lady replied.

With a grunt she holds her sword high and the tops of the landed drop ships rise up from their bases. Me and the others return to the waiting army of warriors. As Steve and I return to one side of Bucky, and Nat to the other, he asks: 'They surrender?'.

'Not exactly.', Steve lets out a sigh.

We see how beasts slightly bigger than humans with six appendages rush out and tear through the forest, T'challa begins to chant in Xhosa unifying the troops in their shared aim to protect their home and hold down the fort. And so did we.

'Yibambe!'

'Yibambe!'
