"Y/N," Popee said cautiously. "What the flying hell was that?"

A thousand thoughts scrolled through your mind as you desperately searched for an explanation that didn't include a confession. You did not want to tell Popee that you were in love with his father. Yet, you knew it was pointless to play dumb. He saw what he saw.

Then, a lightbulb suddenly lit up in your mind as you thought of an answer, "He was just showing me a salutation he picked up."

Popee tilted his head in confusion.

"You ever hear about the European kiss?" you continued. "Sometimes acquaintances will kiss each other on the cheek when they greet each other. While we were out, he was talking about the different countries he was performing in. In one of the countries, the people there would kiss each other on the nose when saying goodbye."

Popee squinted his eyes in skepticism. Perhaps he wasn't as dumb as you hoped he'd be. "What country?"

You lifted your shoulders into a shrug. "I dunno. It was foreign-sounding."

Popee's eyes squinted further before he shrugged it off, "Eh, whatever. As long as he doesn't try that 'salutation' out on me."

Kedamono laughed as he walked up to you and Popee. "Remember that time when we got poisoned by that scorpion and Papi had to kiss us to suck the poison out?"

"Shut up!" Popee growled.

"Hello, Kedamono," you smiled. "Nice to see you're alive again."

"Hi, Y/N," Kedamono wagged his tail. "So where did you and Papi go?"

This time, you felt comfortable to tell the truth. "I was hungry so he said he'd take me out to eat. Then he took me to a carnival!"

You and Kedamono both laughed at the silliness of the situation while Popee scoffed. "What a bastard. Why go all the way to a carnival to buy crappy overpriced carnival food when we have things to eat here? Or the least he could have done was taken you somewhere with better food."

"I didn't know you felt so strongly against carnival food," you chuckled.

"Well," Popee frowned. "I guess I don't really. I dunno. I guess I'm still pissed that I didn't get to kill Papi." Popee then smirked. "In terms of food, I definitely treated you better, didn't I?"

"Absolutely!"

"YES!" Popee jumped up in the air out of joy. "In your FACE Papi! Y/N likes my food better than yours, old man!"

Once you returned to your tent you first let out a sigh of relief that Popee actually bought your lie and your secret was safe. Then, you giddily squealed with joy at the fact you had a date next Sunday. Not only that but Papi had just kissed you on the nose! You were tempted to never wash that nose again, but that'd be gross.

Next Sunday, you were on a walk in the park with Papi. This was such a different pace than your previous outing that it was almost jarring. Still, this was nice. You and Papi were walking side by side as you listened to the musical chirping of the birds and watched the leaves on the trees dance with the breeze.

"Y/N," Papi said softly. "I am so glad Popee has found a friend like you. He's such a short-tempered little boy and it's hard for him to make friends. I guess what I am saying is thank you for having the patience to remain his friend."

You let out a chuckle, "I'd hardly call it patience. I genuinely enjoy my time with him. As eccentric as he might be, he's also very..." you found yourself struggling to find a positive thing to say about him. As much as you did like him, he did not possess many positive traits. You settled on "entertaining!"

"Entertaining might be the most important trait for a performer," Papi nodded with pride. "Y/N, there's something I want to talk to you about."

"What is it, Papi?"

"Next month, I will be performing overseas. I'll be gone for a while, but if you are up for it, I'd like you to come with me."

This was a dream come true, but you suppressed the urge to immediately accept this invitation. "What about Popee? Will he come along too?"

Papi shook his head, "Last time I offered to take him on a trip, he tried to shoot me down with a machine gun."

You bit your lip, "I feel bad to leave him."

"I trust Kedamono to watch over him in your absence," Papi smiled. "But if you don't want to come..."

"No! I want to come!" you accidentally raised your voice. You cleared your throat before repeating in a lower voice: "I want to come. But how come you want me to come?"

"Because I like you and I want you to see me perform!" Papi answered. "I know I've done a few tricks here and there for you, Popee, and Kedamono, but it'd mean a lot to me if you came to one of my performances." He then batted his eyes prettily. "And if you're feeling adventurous, you could be my assistant in a performance or two! After all, every magician needs an attractive assistant!"

You're cheeks went red from the comment, and you snorted, "If I didn't know better, I'd say you're flirting with me!"

Papi cocked his eyebrow and smirked. God, he looked so sexy. "Perhaps I am flirting with you."

Your smile faded into a more serious expression. "Are you flirting with me?"

"Of course I am, silly! What did you think this date was about?"

To be honest, you still weren't able to completely convince yourself that this was reality. You were on a date with Papi the performer! You failed to suppress your blush, so you turned your face away. Papi then placed a gentle hand on your cheek to turn your face towards him.

"Why are you hiding your face?" he inquired in a whisper. "It's so cute!"

"Because you keep saying embarrassing things like that!" the red in your cheeks brightened, if that was even possible.

"Your face is heating up," he teased.

"It's from the walking," you insisted. "All this exercise under the sun makes me heat up."

"Then lets take a moment to rest," suggested Papi. He gestured towards a shady tree. The two of you sat in the shade of the tree. Papi lied back so that his back was against the trunk. You were beside him, hugging your knees.

"So, this date," you started somewhat awkwardly. "Is it casual? Or is this something bigger?" You bit your lip. "I guess what I'm trying to ask is what are we? Are we friends? Are we something more?"

Papi turned to you and smiled, "Right now, we are friends, but if you'd like we can become 'something more'."

You smiled back, "I'd like that."

Papi then pulled you in for a hug, "Then I guess starting now, I am your boyfriend."

You turned your head to Papi and parted your lips as you drew your face closer to his. The distance between your lips and his closed into your first real kiss with him. This romantic kiss quickly escalated into a full-on make-out session. You climbed on top of that smoking hot dad and straddled him as you almost desperately forced your tongue into Papi's DILF mouth. He grabbed your lips and pulled you closer to him. The two of you broke away from the kiss to inhale oxygen. You felt Papi's strong fatherly hands stroke your back. You shuddered at the sensation.

Before you could return to the kiss, Papi whispered, "We should probably take this elsewhere. There are too many kids around."

You got up and looked around. Dear god. There was.
