"How did you even figure out how to do this?" asked Kedamono once Popee returned with you and explained the situation. "I mean, creating a bomb that will wipe out the entire globe?"

Popee looked down towards his feet, and in a low voice answered: "It was covered in the final chapter in the library book I got, How to Break Up a Soon-To-Be-Engaged Couple and Other Relationship Advice by Oliver Klozoff."

"Ah," nodded Vanessa. "That one got a 4.5 score on Goodreads, didn't it?"

Popee shrugged, "Sounds a bit high. Anyway, in the last chapter, it went on to talk about how as a last resort, you can blow up the entire world and it gave the steps to do that." Popee bowed his head in shame. "I am so sorry everybody! I thought this was what I wanted but... I was wrong! And now we are going to die."

"Well, until then, you are grounded," said Papi. "But also, I am glad we are all here as a family. Let us take these final moments to appreciate each other's company."

While Vanessa and Popee spoke with each other, and Kedamono went to find Paola, you decided to have your last conversation with Papi.

"When our bodies disintegrate, along with the earth," Papi said. "I guess our souls will not have anywhere to get back to."

"So this is really it..." you let out a chuckle. "A permanent death."

"You scared?"

"Terrified," you smiled at Papi. "But as long as we are together, I am happy."

Papi pulled you in for a kiss. Once your lips parted, Papi whispered in your ear, "Not that it matters much at this point, but I am pregnant. And you are the father."

"I know," you replied. "I saw your pregnancy test when I revived in your cell." Regret began to fill your heart. "It's a shame I won't get to meet the child."

You and Papi touched hands. "It has been a wild ride, hasn't it?" Papi said. You chuckled as you nodded. "If we got to live another day, I would have loved to marry you."

You turned to Papi, mouth agape. You weren't necessarily surprised that he felt this way, but hearing it out loud turned out to be more emotionally impactful than you had expected.

"If we got to live another day, I would have loved to marry you too," you squeezed Papi's hand as if your life depended on it. Or rather, as if it would save your life.

"If we got to live another year, I would get to see if our child has your eyes or mine."

"If we got to live another year, I would have taken us all on a family trip around the world, with you, me, Popee, Kedamono, Paola, and our child."

"Me too?" asked Vanessa, awkwardly joining in on the conversation.

You frowned, "Don't you have a bee to be fucking?"

"You fucked a bee, Mom?" Popee's eyes widened. Papi let out a hearty laugh.

"This is quite the family reunion," Papi smiled. You rolled your eyes but ultimately you ended up laughing along.

Popee turned to you and Papi, "So if we got to live another year, would I have a little brother or sister?"

"We don't know yet," Papi replied. "But you would have been a good big brother, right?"

Popee nodded, "I would be the best big brother there ever was." Popee turned to you. "Y/N?"

"Yes?" you replied.

"If being with Papi really does make you happy, then for what it's worth, I think I can be happy for you," Popee frowned. "Not that it does much good now does it."
