Chapter 8

(Rebel's POV)
On my way to fifth period I was stopped by Muzzy. I felt fear rising in my throat but I pushed it back. Muzzy never messed with me. Mostly because he knows I could kick his ass anytime I wanted. "...Can I help you?" I ask, adjusting my books. "I need a favor." "Muzzy, I'm not going to give someone a beat-" "No not that kind of favor. I-I need you to talk to someone for me." "Who?" "I was getting to that." He growled through gritted teeth. "You should've spoke faster." I sang. "Walk with me." I murmur, starting on my way to fifth period. "I-I want you to.. uh..." We stopped and he leaned in closer. "Ask Haley out for me?" He whispers in my ear. "Ha! Don't be a wimp!" "I'm not kidding, Madison!" I stop and get in his face "Don't ever call me that again." I growl. "Will you do it?!" He asks, jogging to catch up with me. "No." I say. His face drops. I felt bad for the guy. "But." His face brightens. "I'll tell her to meet you outside on campus." "Thanks so much! I swear you w-" "On one condition." "Uggghhh. Whhaaatt?!" "You stop bullying." "I've already made amends with Nick-" "No. I mean, stop bullying for good. No punches, no name-calling, no harassing. Ever." He thought for a moment. "I don't have all day." I growl. "Alright. No more bullying. And.. I guess I'll try to be nice every once and a while." He says, smiling weakly. "It's a deal." I smile, shaking his hand. Muzzy turns away, jogging to fifth period. "And if you ever tell anyone..." "I know, I know, 'I'll kick your ass'" I half laugh. Muzzy laughs. "Thanks!"
