This isn't a part of Monstercat High. It's just the story of Tristam & Rebel. Enjoy!!
(Rebel's POV)
"So witch one?!" Tristam asks, laughing. We were playing would you rather in the gym during free period. "What are my choices again?" I giggle. "Would you rather fight a Monstercat or twenty cat-sized monsters?" I laugh. "The Monstercat. No doubt." "What?" "Yeah, there are way to many little monsters." "Well, I agree with you on that, bu-" He was interrupted by Varien running up to us. "Hey, you two lovebirds going to the dance tomorrow?" Tristam and I blush. "I-I wasn't planning on it." I say, staring at the floor. Was it obvious that I like Tristam? "Yeah, I don't have anything to wear." Tristam murmurs, scribbling song lyrics down on a note pad. I didn't have anything to wear either; I don't enjoy dressing up and trying to impress people. I just like being me. "Plus, I've heard the school dances kind of suck." Tristam's lying. The school dances are amazing. They've got a photo booth, consession stands, and the gym is all decked out. "Try to come. It'll be awesome." Varien says as the bell for fifth period rings. I stand and gather my books. "Are you going?" I ask Tristam. "I don't know. I might. Are you?" "I'm not sure. I don't really have anything good to wear." I say above the chattering. "I'll see you later!" Tristam calls as he makes his way through the crowd. I wave goodbye and head toward fifth period.

~The Next Day~
...
[Tristam's POV]"I don't wanna go!!" Braken wined. "If we're going, you're going. Come on, I'm sure it'll be fun!" "Easy for you to say. You've got a date." "Rebel and I are just friends. Nothing more nothing less." I growled as I fixed my tie in the mirror. Noisestorm, Braken, and I were wearing a white collered shirt with a black tie and jeans. Noisestorm was wearing a bow tie. No, we didn't mean to match. It's just a coincidence. We're going to have a hard time explaining that to all the guys, and girls, at the dance though. I hear muffled music begin to play. 'They must've already started.' I think to myself. I was nervous. Terrified even. Not only because of the boys and I wearing matching outfits, but because of Rebel. She's not the kind of girl you can say 'I Love You' to and get away with it. She's never been trustful, especially of men, because of her father. She's also been cheated on twice in the past. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach and fear rose up in my throat. I was planning to ask her out, this is the Valentine's day dance after all, but I'm not sure if I can do it. "Hey guys," I say, directing my gaze to my dorm mates. "I-I was actually planning to ask Rebel out." I murmur gingerly. "I'm terrifyed. I've got no idea how to do it." My friends did the exact opposite of what I thought they would do (tease me and fangirl). They looked concerned. "Yeah, it's hard to approach girls like Rebel. Be yourself. Act like you do with her in free-period. Be fun and chilled." Noisestorm says, patting me on the back. "And DON'T over think things. That'll get you friend-zoned faster than you can say her name." Braken adds with a laugh. I chuckle. "Thanks guys."
....
I stopped at the entrance to the gym and pulled out my phone.
'You here?' I texted Rebel.'Just leaving my dorm. Be there in a few :)'
Looks like I've got a while. "I'm going to the gym." "I'll come with you." Braken says, winking. I roll my eyes and walk in the gym, Braken following close behind.
(Rebel'sPOV)
....
"Which one?" Laura asks eagerly, holding up three dresses. One was red with a white top and black zigzags, one ice blue with the same top, and one light pink with the same top. "Uggghhh. Can we not do this?" I moan, flopping down on the top bunk. "Come on! It's your first dance! Don't you want to look good for Tristam?" Laura was the only person I told about my crush on Tristam. She's super supportive, but she teases me a little here and there. I sit up and glare at the dresses. "Uh... the pink one I guess." I mumble. "Good choice. I'll wear the red one." She says with a smile. "Aren't you excited?!" She exclaims, shaking the bunk. "I don't like dresses. Or heels." I growl. "You don't like anything girly! Go get in the shower so I can have time to get ready." I jump off the bunk and walk to the bathroom. "Don't you even think about trying to get makeup on me." I growl without turning around. I hear Laura laugh as I shut the door.
....
Getting ready wasn't too bad. I dried my hair, brushed my teeth and pretty much did my normal morning routine. That is, until it came to the clothes. The dress that I picked was long; it went down to my ankles. Laura picked me out some white highheel sandals (you know.. my toes, part of my heel, and the top of my foot show.). I had a bit of trouble walking in them at first, but I eventually got used to it. When it came to makeup: Laura practically did all of it for me, since my luck with makeup sucks. I put the consealer on, Laura put on the mascara and eye shadow. "You look amazing!!" She exclaims, holding up a mirror. I gap at my reflection. I looked so different, still the same person but... girlyer, I guess. The eye shadow and mascara brought out my dark brown eyes. The headband I had on complemented my eyes too. And the dress, oh the dress. It was more comfortable than I thought it would be. Easy to walk in, too. Over all, it was perfect. "Do you think we overdressed?" I ask suddenly. Laura giggles. "No. I asked a handful of other girls what they were wearing. They all said a dress." "Great!" I exclaim, grabbing my jean jacket. My phone buzzes from somewhere in the bathroom. "I'll get it." Laura says, already starting toward the bathroom. "It's from Tristam!" She yells. I walk into the bathroom, praying I put a password on my phone. "He said are we there. You want me to reply?" "NO!" I yell as I snatch my phone away from her. "Why?" She laughs. "You're going to say something like: 'be there soon. Love you.'" "So what if I did. He likes you back, y'know!" My heart leapt. Does he really like me? 'No. He probably doesn't. He most likely likes me as a close friend... nothing more...' I type: 'Just leaving our dorm. Be there soon :)'. "Ok. Let's go." I say, opening the door to let Laura out. "Yes. Let us go so you can get to your boyfriend." She teases. "Shut up!"

[Tristam's POV]
"Tristam!" I hear someone call over the bass. I look around and see Alex from the Nerds waving me over. "Hey Alex! Where's Mike?" I ask as I reach him. "He's at the conssesion stand. Did Noisestorm come?" "Yeah, I think he went to go get some pizza or something." "So.. how are you gonna ask her out?" He asks with a smirk. My face heats up. "W-What?" I manage. "Rebel. You are going to ask her out, right?" "I-I don't know. How'd you know?" "Just got lucky, I guess. You gonna kiss her?" He asks again, smiling mischievously. "I swear, you are a damn blonde-haired thorn in my side." I growl.
...
My phone buzzed.
'I'm in the gym.'Rebel texted. I look up and scan the gym.
'Where at?'
'Go to the double doors'
I look over at the gym entrance. I finally spot Rebel talking to Laura and Danyka. She looked amazing. I couldn't believe she was actually in a dress. I smile and start across the gym. That warm and fuzzy feeling began to blossom in my stomach again. "Rebel!" I call. She looks up at me and her face brightens. "Hey Tristam!!" She exclaims, meeting me halfway and pulling me into a hug. My cheeks turn red instantly. As we break the hug, I see that Rebel was blushing too. 'Does she like me? God, I hope so.'
...
Later on, about halfway through the dance, I was feeling brave. 'Maybe even brave enough to ask your longtime best friend out?' The little voice inside my head said. I drew in a breath and looked around for Rebel. I find Rebel sitting down on the bleachers, just watching everyone dance. I walk up to her, forcing myself to stay calm. "Hey,mind if I sit here?" I ask with a smile. "Sure." She smiles back. I take a deep breath. "Hey, I-I've-" I was cut off by a slow song coming on, specifically Rouge-Forever: Melodies of Memories Past version. I look over at the DJ booth and see Braken, Noisestorm, and Alex giving me a thumbs up. I stand up and extend my hand to Rebel. "Care for a dance?" She giggles. "Of course." I lead her to the middle of the gym floor. She puts her hands around my neck and I put mine on her hips. A huge crowd is gathered around us now. Phones were snapping pictures and recording videos. I spin Rebel and hold her close. "Listen, I-I.. I've really liked you for a while now, and-" Rebel grabs my tie and pulls me close, crashing our lips together. My eyes snap wide open and my cheeks turn bright red. Everything seemed like it was in slow-motion: the cheers of our friends, Braken slapping and jumping on Noisestorm, Laura and Danyka screaming. I pull Rebel closer and start kissing back, closing my eyes and relaxing a little. We pull back. "I-I feel the same way." Rebel manages. "I love you, Rebel. I always have and I'll never stop." "I love you too, Tristam." She murmurs, stretching up and kissing me again.(A/N
