Chapter 30

(Rebel'sPOV)

I grab my bookbag and things, laughing about how Varien's making fun of me. "Well I'm not the one who breaks my neck every performance."

"I'm not the one who bounces around like a kangaroo." "I want my head on my body, thank you very much!" I snicker. He laughs. I throw my bookbag over my shoulder and leap down the steps, getting intercepted by Tristam.

He put his hands on his hips. I laugh and hug him. "I did it!!" I screech like a five year old. "I know!!" He screams back. "Now you can perform with me and record vocals and-"

I hold up a finger and sip my Sprite. "Hold on there, cowboy. Get your boots on first." He hesitates. "...What?" I bump him as we walk to my locker (which I never use). "Don't get ahead of yourself! I'm not sure I'm ready to show the family my voice yet."

"The artists or the fans?" "We're all family. And both." He shrugs. "Well whenever you're ready.." He nudges me a few times. I hold back a giggle.

"Everytime you ask for them, my vocals are delayed another week." He laughs. "That's my line!" I shut my locker and giggle. "I know."

[San Holo'sPOV]

"Hey," WRLD breaks the silence defining silence of the library.

"Yo," I murmur, gnawing on a SlimJim and scrolling through Twitter.

"I heard there's a new student coming today." He mutters. "What?" Laszlo looks up from his laptop. "For real?" "Yeah."

"Boy or girl?" I ask. "Girl I believe." He replies. "I hope she's hot." Our group breaks out in loud snickers. We eventually get silenced by the librarian.

(Dilumi'sPOV)

"Y-You're kidding me.." I mutter as I step through the huge double doors. I scan my surroundings. "Completely serious." Principal Monstercat smiles.

"I'll call Rebel down and we'll get your tour started. She'll show you your dorm and locker. All the basics and stuff like that. You can wait here if you want." He gestures to a bench.

I thank him, walk over and set my stuff down.

After a couple of minutes, a girl with a black hoodie on rounded the corner, chatting with a taller guy in a dark gray hoodie. Both had their hoods up.

Once they got to the office, they parted way. "I'll see you in free period, Braken!" My heart leapt. Braken?! "I'll see ya!" He called back from over his shoulder.

She reaches the office and sits down on the bench next to mine. "Hey, you must be the new student." I nod. "I'm Dilumi." I hold out my hand and she shakes it. "Rebel."

"You sure do look like one." I say lightheartedly. She laughs lightly. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna overthrow the government or anything." We laugh.

Monstercat hands me my schedule. I thank him, and Rebel and I start to the cafeteria.

"So, do you really know Braken and Tristam..?"

"Yeah! Braken and I are friends, Tristam and I are.. uh.. together."

"Oh! I heard about it on Twitter; wasn't sure if it was true or not. I love Tristam's music." I mutter absentmindedly. I only realize I said it out loud when Rebel chimes, "Why don't you tell him yourself?"

She points ahead to the dining hall, where Tristam and Braken were just walking out. "Um, no!" I whisper. She shrugs. "Ok. He's still gonna say hi."

"Hey, Reb!" I hear him call from down the hall. She waves as we get closer to the two friends. "Who's this?" He asks, referring to me.

"Ok, one, she has a name, and two, this is Dilumi, the new student." I stifled a small laugh.

He chuckles. "Ok, ok. Nice to meet you.. Dilumi." We all snicker. "Nice to meet you too." "Sorry to be skipping out lime this, but Tristam and I have something to do." Braken grins and Tristam.

I glance at Rebel, confused. She shrugs, same expression on her face as the boys walk past us. "And they're always that cryptic?" She shakes her head. "Nah, not usually.... there must be something big coming up."

I try to contain myself as we continue on with the tour and hype mode sets in.
