Inosuke dodged Muzan's incoming tentacles, pulling his sword off of the tree. He rushed in with malignant fury, raising his blades like boar tusks.

He crashed both into Muzan's chest, making the demon king recoil back. Muzan, in retaliation, swung a claw at him, but missed as he leaned back. Inosuke then spun, pulling both his blades out of Muzan's chest, and sliced off a leg. Muzan inevitably fell over, giving Inosuke a perfect chance for a decapitation.

"Die!" Inosuke roared, raising a blade over his head.

Suddenly, he was knocked back. Muzan had twisted on the floor to kick him with his good foot. Inosuke stumbled back, regaining his balance and falling back to a defensive stance.

From Muzan's flank, Shinobu charged forward. He instinctively spun around and blocked the incoming attack, taking her sword through the arm. He pulled the blade off and kicked her back, sending her tumbling to the grass.

From the shadows of the forest, Giyuu watched. He was leaning against a tree, a stripped piece of his jacket bandaging his detached arm. He had managed to tourniquet the wound with the rest of his jacket, but he could feel it slipping off time and again.

Inosuke and Shinobu both fought furiously against Muzan. Giyuu could see Inosuke swinging madly at Muzan's tentacles, attempting to slice off any that came in his way. But no matter how many times he cut them, they would almost instantaneously grow back.

The tentacles whipped at Inosuke's arms, scarring them. Blood flew across the air as Inosuke screamed in pain, despite how shallow the wound actually was. He stumbled back, trying to stay out of the tentacles' range.

From Muzan's other side, Shinobu charged forward. He whipped his tentacles towards her, their barbs pointed straight at her center of mass.

Shinobu's feet left the ground.

In one swift motion, she leapt up and thrust her blade straightly forward, flying through the air like a human javelin. Muzan's tentacles missed their target, their inky black bodies moving around her. The blade managed to impale Muzan in the gut as she skidded back to her feet, pushing the blade through his entire body, injecting wisteria into his system.

Muzan grinned.

"That was impressive..." he sneered. "but how are you going to kill me?"

Shinobu's eyes widened as she realized the mistake she had made.

She pulled the blade out of his body and slowly stepped back as he advanced on her. Giyuu felt his gut sink as he realized how powerless he truly was in this situation.

Must... do something... Giyuu's mind pleaded.

But he knew that even if he was capable of fighting, it would make no difference.

"Come on!" Muzan bellowed, raising his arms and exposing his chest, where Shinobu had impaled him earlier. "Kill me! Wasn't that the whole point of stabbing me?!"

"I..." Shinobu stuttered.

Get out of there, Shinobu!  Giyuu thought.

Desperate, Shinobu stabbed Muzan once again, it's blade jamming stuck in his abdomen. To her surprise, he continued walking. She stood her ground, pushing the blade even further through his body as he stepped closer and closer towards her, horrible sounds of tearing muscle in the air. Eventually, the entire blade went through him, stopping at the sword's cross guard.

She raised her head, looking up at him in shock.

"Oh, what a beautiful complexion you have there, DON'T YOU?!" Muzan roared, snatching her throat in a choke hold. The sudden action made her drop her weapon, clanging to the ground like a ring of despair.
