A few minutes earlier...

For most of the slayers, the day was long over. Finally, the slayers have actually made an effort against the existence of demons, and they won. That simple fact was enough for some to call for a celebration.
However, for Giyuu, his day wasn't done. Not even close.
"ARGH!" Inosuke yelled. He had just dropped a wooden box full of rifles on his foot, crushing the poor thing. Of course, Inosuke being Inosuke, he blamed everything BUT himself.
"You distracted me!" Inosuke complained. "Stop going ahead, it makes me insecure!"
Giyuu could only stare at him with an unimpressed look.
Meanwhile, Shinobu was laughing her ass off from the front. After Hirohito had taken control of Japan's government, the imperial army had sworn their allegiance to the Demon Slayer Corps. That meant promising a supply of weapons, manpower, and troops. The slayers, being more organized, already secured those supplies. Unfortunately, by then, everyone had been burned out that no one was willing to physically manage them.
"Stop making excuses, Inosuke." Giyuu said. "You'll make yourself look dumber than you already are."
"EXCUSE ME?!" Inosuke yelled, picking the fallen box back up. "Look around us! There's barely any light in this forest. These damn trees are too big."
"You're a demon slayer." Giyuu said. "Use your common sense."
"Ara, ara." Shinobu said, butting in to the conversation. "Like father, like son."
"IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!" Giyuu and Inosuke both said in unison, turning to Shinobu with apprehensive eyes.
Shinobu chuckled at this. "But seriously, Giyuu, don't get ahead of yourself. A lot of the time, common sense doesn't occur to you."
"Says the woman that threw herself at an Upper Moon without preparation." Giyuu scoffed.
"Says the man that unironically calls his wife short." Shinobu scoffed back.
"But you ARE short." Giyuu whispered under his breath.
"What was that?" Shinobu asked, looking at him with the most passive-aggressive smile she could muster.
Giyuu snapped back to his usual soulless expression. "Nothing."
The three of them continued walking silently under the trees. By then, the mansion's back entrance was already visible. Giyuu could hear singing from the mansion's courtyard, the glow of the bonfire making the whole mansion look like it was emanating light. Sitting close to the back entrance was a large pile of wooden box, not too different from the ones they were currently holding. The mansion was, of course, not just a celebratory location. Giyuu specifically chose the place due to it's seclusion and strategic position. Medical supplies, wisteria, and-of course- weapons were stored here.
"This is the last batch, isn't it?" Giyuu asked.
"Yep." Inosuke responded.
An awkward silence passed.
"Are you... sure?" Giyuu asked.
"Maybe." Inosuke answered.
The exhaustion in Giyuu's body pressed on him even more. "Inosuke..."
"I'm sure!" Inosuke yelled. "Kami, you're so judgemental."
Surprised, Giyuu looked at an equally surprised Shinobu, who shrugged.
