Giyuu stepped into the secluded room, a man's corpse at his feet. He had heard the gunshot, and had almost withdrawn, but decided that it was now or never. The risk of Muzan showing up was too high. The situation was too perfect to pass up.

"W-Who are you?!" a man in lavish looking robes stuttered. Giyuu knew for sure that was Emperor Taisho.

"The one in charge." Giyuu said, simultaneously drawing his blade. The other people in the room scrambled to the sides, terrified of Giyuu. That was good. The last thing Giyuu needed was a loyal human follower of Muzan.

Taisho, on the other hand, glared at Giyuu, his fists clenched at his sides. The look in his eyes gave away the fact that he was demon, but it seemed that Taisho already knew that. For a moment, Giyuu worried that he might be a lot more powerful than he looked.

"You do not want this fight." Taisho declared.

"I'm pretty sure it's the other way around, Your Highness." Giyuu said.

Taisho was irked at this, but kept his composure. "Muzan won't be happy about this. He's going to send his entire of demons unto this palace, and he's going to crush you with everything he's got. Better to give up now. After all, you know he is immortal."

"Well, that's never stopped me, did it?" Giyuu said, raising his blade towards Taisho.

The other people in the room stared in fear, but also anticipation. They've seen what demons can do, and they knew of their superhuman capabilities. However, they've never seen a human ever overpower even the weakest of demons. It was something they thought to be impossible.

Well, I better give them a good show. Giyuu thought, smirking to himself.

After a tense moment of silence, Taisho kicked off his feet and sprinted towards Giyuu.

It was a pathetically sluggish sprint, especially for a demon.

Thank kami. Giyuu thought. This'll be quick.

Before Taisho could even bring his arm up to strike, Giyuu dashed past him, slicing off his right arm in the process. Taisho quickly turned, only to see Giyuu holding a bloodstained blade. The others around them gasped in shock as they realized what had just happened. Taisho's surprised expression morphed into irritation, and he scowled as his arms regenerated back. "That's not gonna do anything, baka."

Calm down... Giyuu thought, resisting the urge to chop him into tiny bits. I need to make this flashy to convince these other guys that demons can be killed. Uzui would call it 'flamboyancy', I would call it 'stupidity'.

But it has to be done.

Taisho rushed at him again, bellowing in anger. Giyuu swiftly slashed at his face, then tripped him. The trip sent Taisho falling face-forward to the ground. He clenched his fist and forced himself back up. As he got into a kneeling position, he swiped at Giyuu's stomach, but missed. In retaliation, Giyuu slashed at Taisho's face again, slamming him back to the ground.

"I'll kill you..." Taisho muttered, attempting to get up again. The others just stared in amazement. They all realized that demons were, indeed, mortal, and were witnessing the death of one.

"I'll kill you, damn it!" Taisho grunted out, now on all fours. Giyuu kicked him in the stomach, strong enough to send him flying out the doorway. Like a bloodthirsty beast, Giyuu walked towards him again. The other people didn't dare to go beyond the doorway, lest they be spotted by a very angry Taisho.

Giyuu closed the door behind him and looked into Taisho's eyes. They were blazing with fury, and it was no surprise that Taisho was already on his feet. Instead of letting him charge, Giyuu struck first, slashing his stomach, spinning into a flurry of swings. Taisho couldn't do anything more than block with his arms, which were quickly sliced into stringy pieces. Taisho cursed and backed away, trying to find an opening to strike.
