Story: Kyojuro gets a nightmare.
Yue stirred in her sleep as she felt Kyojuro shift in bed. At first she didn't pay much attention to it because Kyojuro always moved around in his sleep. What woke her up is, despite Kyojuro moving around in sleep like always, he was beside her but this time she didn't feel his warmth on her back. She opened her eyes slightly and turned her head to find the spot next to her empty, the pillow had a dent in it meaning that he just recently got up, she reached her hands up to her face and rubbed her eyes as she slowly sat up.
When she opened her eyes, she saw Kyojuro sitting at the end of the bed, his bare back facing her and his elbows propped against his knees as he took deep breaths. She could see the sweat dripping off him. Something was bothering him.
"Kyo?" She whispered gently and he slightly jumped at the sound of her voice.
"Did I wake you Pretty Girl? Im sorry if I did, you can go back to sleep" he responded and she could tell in his voice that something was bothering him. Yue put the pieces together and narrowed it down to a nightmare. Kyojuro barely got nightmares. The last time he had a nightmare was after his fight with Akaza, that fight really shook him up, he would constantly have nightmares and hardly slept as he knew Akaza was alive and that he might show up.
"What's bothering you Kyo?" She asked gently as she removed the blanket from her waist and she scooted to the end of the bed next to Kyojuro, once she got a good look of his face, she saw the dark circles under his eyes, the sweat rolling down his forehead, his mouth was slightly open taking in deep breaths.
"Nothing Yue, you can go back to bed, I'll rest in a couple of minutes" he responded keeping his gaze on the floor.
"Kyo. I'm not leaving you alone in the state that you're in.. I'm here for you, talk to me Kyo" she said as she gently brushed his hair back with her hand.
"Don't shut me out" she whispered and he finally raised his gaze to her eyes, she smiled lightly at the boy before he pulled her into a hug.
"Kyo"
"It's the same nightmare.. that Upper Moon, hurting you while I couldn't do anything to help you. I watched him kill you" he whispered into the girl ear tightening his grip around her as she rubbed his back.
"It was just a nightmare. Im right here" she soothed the boy.
"For how long? He's still out there, what happens when he finds out I'm alive and sends someone to go after you" Kyojuro whispered and Yue shushed him.
"That won't happen Kyo. Im not going anywhere, okay?" She said and pulled away from his hug to look at him.
"I'm not going anywhere" she repeated kissing his forehead. He smiled lightly at her before tackling her in another hug. She giggled as his weight caused her to fall over so her back was against the bed and he was on top of her hugging her tightly.
"Don't leave me ever" he mumbled into her hair and she rubbed the back of his head.
"I won't leave you, I promise" she whispered and he sat up facing her. He leaned down and kissed her lips.
"Come on Kyo. It's 3 am, let's try to get some more sleep" Yue said against his lips. He kissed her lips once more before rolling off her pulling her close to his chest.
"I love you Yue" he mumbled.
"I love you too Kyo, now sleep" she said and he chuckled lightly as he got comfortable in bed with her in his arms. In just a few minutes, Kyojuro was deeply asleep as Yue attempted to fall asleep but couldn't.
'Someone's watching us'
Yue gently turned her body to not wake up the boy that was holding her to look at the window. Her heart stopped and she stiffened as she saw a demon sitting on the window sill. The demon was pink with orange markings, sharp blue piercing eyes. He smirked as he saw Yue noticed him.
