Yue stood up, stumbling slightly as she held the tree for support. She looked up and saw a demon. She could tell he was probably a Kizuki. He had red hair, greenish skin with different patterns outlining his body. He wore a sleeveless shirt with blue baggy pants. He smirked at the girl standing a good 10 feet from him.
"You lost little girl?" He taunted as Yue looked around trying to see if she can see Kyojuro but it was so dark and her vision was not the best after she hit the tree, she couldn't see anything in front of her beside that demon.
"Are you looking for your night in shining armor, don't worry my friend is keeping him busy so he won't interrupt me and you" the demon smirked before running towards Yue, she used all the strength she had left to move out of the way before he could touch her.
"You're a demon slayer aren't you. Let me finish you quickly so I can go help my friend as I did sense your lover is a Hashira, a powerful one might I add. Maybe if I turn him into a demon and have him fight you, what a show that would be" the demon said and Yue mentally checked out the box that this demon was a tease, he loved teasing and taunting his 'prey'
"He would never become a demon and once he finds out where I am, you're both dead" Yue growled and the demon gave out a small chuckle.
"That may be so, but it won't happen if I kill you first" he replied and was fast, she didn't see his movement as she felt claws scratch her side, she yelped in pain and moved out of the way, she looked down and saw her once bright flower Yukata that she always wore around the estate instead of her demon slayer corps uniform covering in her own red liquid. She whimpered in pain and tried to use her breathing technique to help stop the bleeding.
As she was distracted, the demon charged at her again and scratched her yet again, this time leaving a deep cut from her forehead, down her left eye and to the bottom of her cheek. She winced in pain, thankfully she shut her eyes before the attack otherwise she would've lost that eye. She kept her left eye shut to prevent any blood getting into it, now she has to trust her gut instincts as she can only see out of one eye for now. ~~
Kyojuro used his flame breathing and pushed the demon back, the demon was strong, he knew that both demons were Kizuki's and he was just hoping and praying he could make it to Yue on time before it's too late.
"Become a demon, you have such great power, if you become a demon you can go over and heal your lover. I can sense she's dying" the demon teased Kyojuro which just made him growl.
"I'll kill anyone who places their hands on her" Kyojuro said as he took a deep breath.
"Total concentration, Flame Breathing. Third form: Blazing Universe"
Kyojuro used his speed and agility to quickly get close enough to the demon and swung his sword in a downwards arc, slicing the demon head off clean. The head tumbled to the ground and Kyojuro picked it up.
"Where is she?" He asked as the head and body of the demon started to fade away. The demon said nothing and Kyojuro grunted in anger as the demon disappeared into ash. At this point he saw Sanemi and Iguro running towards him, he sheathed his sword before turning to his fellow Hashira's.
"What happened, we heard some type of explosion and Shinobu sent us out here" Sanemi asked.
"Two demons, I killed one. The other one has Yue. She has no weapon, nothing to protect herself, we need to find her now before it's too late" Kyojuro said and Sanemi could feel the angry aura coming off of Kyojuro.
"Let's split up, she couldn't have been taken that far into the woods" Iguro said and the other two nodded before splitting up looking for the girl. ~~~~~
Yue panted as she laid on the grass, her bleeding from her face and side continued, she was starting to feel nauseous and lightheaded, the demon kept toying with her physically, giving her small bruises, pushing her into trees causing the pain in her spin to intensify. Her body has given up on her, she couldn't move, she just laid on her stomach in the grass.
"I'm surprised, you were able to hold your own with no weapon to defend yourself. But I sense the other demon has succumbed to your lover, meaning only one thing, I get to kill you" the demon crouched in front of the girl and pulled her head up by her hair that was laced with dirt and blood, her mouth was open slightly as she tried to breath as much as she can.
'I refuse to die like this, I refuse to leave Kyo like this, I refuse, I refuse, I refuse'
Yue brought her fist up in attempt to strike the demon but he simply deflected it.
"And yet, as your body is slowly giving up on you and dying, you continue to fight, you have some ambition" the demon complimented.
"Too bad you have to die, any last words little girl?" The demon asked his face getting closer to hers.
"Get your hands off her" the voice boomed, right when the demon turned around, his head slide off his body and onto the ground.
"Pretty girl" Kyojuro whispered as he sheathed his sword and went by her side. He constantly called her 'pretty girl', when they were little and his father first rescued her, young Kyojuro didn't know her name as she didn't talk much so he referred her as 'pretty girl' and the name stuck, he called her that or 'snow flake' because of her breathing style.
"I'm sorry Kyo" Yue whispered and Kyojuro shushed her softly.
"No, don't say that. You did good Snow flake, you did so good. You kept yourself alive, that's all that matters" he whispered to her giving her forehead a kiss, not caring that her forehead had blood and sweat dripping from her.
"Let's get you back to the estate, you're safe now, I'm here" Kyojuro added as he gently picked up the girl who whimpered in pain.
"I'm sorry I couldn't get to you sooner" he said sadly walking back to the estate trying not to make any sudden movements that'll hurt her body.
"You found her?" Sanemi asked as him and Iguro approached the Flame Hashira.
"I did, her injuries are bad" Kyojuro said and noticed she fell asleep in his arms.
"Did you kill the bastard?" Sanemi asked angry that anyone could do such a thing to her. She was a gentle, kind person and it pissed him off that she was hurt.
"Ofcourse, I wasn't going to let him slide after what he did to her" Kyojuro replied as they made it to the gates of the estate where Aoi and Shinobu were waiting, they had rooms ready and they directed which room to bring Yue into so they could treat her. ~~~~~ Once she was treated, Kyojuro walked into the room and was able to see her, his eyes softened in sadness as he saw her, her waist wrapped in bandages and her left eye also wrapped in bandages. Shinobu said Yue eye is fine but she will have a scar lining her face.
"Hey Snowflake, I'm sorry for all this, I never should've taken you to the garden, I should've made you take your sword with you, I could've done so many things to prevent you from getting hurt, I'll make it up to you. I promise" Kyojuro whispered holding the girl hand giving it a kiss
"Is she okay?"
Kyojuro turned around and saw her cousin standing in the doorway. He smiled lightly at him and looked back at the girl.
"Shinobu-Chan said she'll make a full recovery within a few days, she gave her a special medicine that'll help her injuries recover quickly" Rengoku responded and Giyuu nodded. Kyojuro noticed that Giyuu didn't talk much, well everyone knows that, he has such a calm demeanor and rarely shows emotion. Rengoku has only seen Giyuu actually have a full on conversation with Yue as she was his last known living family member.
"Don't blame yourself.. There has to be an explanation as to why those demons were so close to the estate" Giyuu said before walking out of the door leaving the Flame Hashira deep in thoughts.
