Melissa Becker, the daughter of two Victors, mother victor of the 45th at the age of 16, father victor of the 41st of 17. From District 2. Her family was famous. Her mother was the most successful pointe dancer in District 2, before and after games, while also living in the academy. Her father, after his games was head of the Academy at the age of 17 for 5 years before his execution.
During her father's games he was desirable, like most victors. Around the time Snow decided to sell him he was around the age of 23, just a few months after Melissa's birth. Her father refused and since Makayla, Melissa's mother, was also desirable he couldn't kill her and he didn't know Melissa existed, Snow killed him.
A few months after Snow asked Makayla to perform in the Capitol while also selling her body to the men in the Capitol, she did because she now had a daughter that depends on her, while still living in the victor's village.
