"The Scores"

It was time to get the scores. The seven, Melissa, Lucas, Makayla, Brutus, Rose, Amethyst and Lucas's stylist, were in the living waiting for the tv to switch to Caesar Flickerman to announce the scores from 1-12.

Melissa was cuddled with her mother, under a blanket waiting for the scores.

The TV switch to Caesar, making Rose say.

"Shhhh, it's on." even though no one was talking.

"Good evening and tonight I have the scores for the individual assessment of this year's tribute for the 66th annual hunger games." Caesar said, holding onto what looked like 24 cards.

"Alyssa Martin, District 1 has scored a 9."

"Ok not bad." Brutus said.

"Nathan Flint, District 1 has scored a 10."

"Melissa Becker, District 2, has scored a 11."

Cheer broke out in the living room as Melissa's name and picture was shown next to an eleven. Everyone hushed down as Lucas was next.

"Lucas Stewart District 2 has scored and impressive 10."

Cheer broke out again, as Lucas' score was shown next to his picture and name.

District 3 got an eight for female, nine for male. District 4, a nine for female, ten for male. District 5, a seven for female, eight for male. District 6, a nine female, seven male. District 7 got a ten female, eight male. District 8 got a six female, eight male. District 9, six female and male. District 10 had a nine female, ten male. District 11 had four female, five male. District 12 had a five female, six male.

It was the day of the interviews.

Melissa was practically ripped from the warmth of her bed way too early for her liking.

Melissa was cleaned until her skin was light pink, waxed until she had no hair unless it was her head and eyebrows, nails shaped until till you could rip a throat with it, and hair washed until there wasn't a grain of dirt in it.

Melissa was left in a dressing room with a robe on. The room had a TV, a vanity, a measurement stand, a couch, and a coffee table.

The door opened, to reveal Amethyst and Makayla.

"Hello dearie it's time to make you look stunning." Amethyst said.
