Mitch's P.O.V
---------------

"I swear, we're only friends."

That's what he always told me.

But-

He pulled me on top of his lap.

"What would Alex say?" I asked. "I don't know, Mitch. Just go along with it," Scott replied.

"Okay," I said. He pulled me in roughly for a kiss that started slow but quickly got heated. "Oh, Mitch, I don't know what I'd do without you," he said quietly. "What you'd do without your little fuck buddy?" I said sarcastically. I never wanted any of this.

Scott is still my best friend. I don't really know what happened. One day, I walked into my room and Scott was following me. Before I knew it, he had me pushed against the wall and started kissing me.

That's where it all began.

I didn't complain because honestly, I've always liked him.

I never wanted it like this, though.

He has Alex, his boyfriend of two years.

Scott doesn't seem to mind that Alex could walk in at any moment.

Oh well.

I mean, look at it this way. If you had a Scott Hoying kissing you, you wouldn't complain, right? That's exactly what I'm talking about. I feel the need to tell Alex about what goes on with me and Scott.

"Scott, this isn't right," I said, but he continued trying to take my shirt off.

"Mitch, stop being so stubborn."

"Alex will be heartbroken once he finds out."

"He doesn't need to know. Nobody will know."

I sighed and gave in. It's a cycle that never ends.

Scott kisses me.

I say it isn't right.

Scott tells me that it's fine.

I fall into his trap.

Over and over again.

His phone started ringing.

"I'll get it," he mumbled. "Hey, Alex! What's up?"

"Yeah, sure. Okay I'll see you in a bit! I love you, babe!" I rolled my eyes. If he loved Alex, he wouldn't be all over me 24/7.

"Okay, Mitchie, we have 5 minutes until Alex is here. I think we should cuddle."

"Scott, we just had a make-out session."

"But, we haven't cuddled in forever!" he pouted.

"Fine, but only for a few minutes." Here we go again. I climbed into his bed and he pulled me closer. I didn't fall asleep. I kept thinking about what would happen if Alex saw this.

~

"Scott?" I heard Alex call out. I heard footsteps getting closer.

"Scott, wake up. Alex is here," I said, trying to move.

"Mitchbox, you're just hearing things," Scott said. He leaned over and kissed my cheek.

"Scott," I yelled, "wake up!" Alex stood, shocked, at the doorway. He slowly got up. As he got adjusted to the light, he saw him. "Alex, I'm sorry, babe-"

"Don't you 'babe' me, Scott. I knew that this was happening. I've seen it before, so don't lie to me. I'm not mad at either of you. But, if I was mad at someone, it would be you, Scott. You could have just told me you wanted to see Mitch," Alex said. I smiled at Alex. He nodded kindly.

"Bye, Scott." Alex started to walk away.

"Wait, Alex, thank you." I gave him a half smile. He nodded again and walked out.

"I told you, Scott," I said.

"I don't understand why he would be mad at me... You and I are just friends."

As he finished his sentence, he placed a kiss on my lips.

"Friends with benefits?" I added. Even though I wasn't really benefitting from being his friend to help him with his sexual frustrations. He shook his head, "Nope, just friends."

He laid back down and patted the spot next to him. I smiled slightly and rested my head next to his.

I took his hand into mine and drifted off to sleep.

-2 years later-
"Mitchell, wake up," Scott whispered softly. I slowly opened my eyes and realized that I was right on top of Scott.

"What happened?" I asked him. "Nothing, I guess you just really wanted some of this," he laughed while pointing to himself. I giggled and got off of him.

"Morning," I said and kissed his cheek.

"Morning," he repeated, kissing my forehead.

"I'm getting Starbucks. Do you want to come with?" he asked. "Of course!" I said and smiled. We walked there hand in hand. A few people were staring, but we didn't care. We ordered our drinks and sat down.

I kissed him softly and he smiled into it.

But, remember what Scott always says.

Just friends.
