A/N- trees have fat asses~ KeLsEy
They stopped everyday by that old, ragged tree.
It was their point on the map.
They were there, at that ancient tree, so much that the birds knew exactly when to come by for extra bread crumbs.
It's also where they met. It's where so many amazing and memorable things have taken place at. They began to date at that tree. The young, bright Willow tree in the middle of a field.
Well, after all, they planted that tree. When they were just little boys. When they didn't have a care in the world.
It was the happiest place for them. Maybe not for others, but for them, it really, truly was.
But then, one became sick.
We'll call him Scott.
The other, who was the one Scott had just told, was devastated by this news. Heartbreaking news, even.
We'll call him Mitch.
Now, of course, they wanted to spend his last few years with each other. Mostly at the tree.
To them, the long branches of their Willow tree represented their unconditional love for each other, for it never stopped.
The leaves have no rough edges, they're oval-shaped. That represented that they had no problems in their relationship. Which was true.
They were the perfect couple in everyone's eyes.
Maybe even yours.
Who knows.
Well, they ended up spending everyday with the other. Ended up moving into a house they built together by the Willow tree. The old thing. Ended up getting married.
The sick one, Scott, he wasn't getting any better.
That Scott boy insisted that he died right next to the Willow, considering he spent most of his life there.
And so he did.
He died next to the ancient tree with Mitch by his side, one hand in Mitch's, the other on the Willow.
The rugged thing had been through it all.
After all this, it was time.
The Willow, the old, rugged, ancient tree, was put healthy any longer.
So about a year later, that tree did die.
Right after Mitch died of a broken heart.
And the birds stopped singing.
Stopped coming by everyday.
For there wasn't anybody at that point on the map.
They say it's one of the saddest stories out there.
Some say it represents true love.
Some even say it's fake.
Well, what do you think?
