Mitch's P.O.V
----------------

"Oh, Scott, you really didn't have to do this," I said.

"Oh, but I did," Scott said as he opened the restaurant door open and held it for me. "Thank you, Scotland,"I said, curtseying in front of him. "My pleasure, boy princess," he said, bowing to me. I giggled and walked through the door.

We both sat down at the table set for two.

"Hello, my name is Jake, would you like to start out with some drinks?" the waiter, 'Jake', asked. "Just water," I said. "The same for me," Scott told him. Wow, he was acting very fancy today. It's hot. Trust me.

Jake came back with our water and I looked at the menu.

Hmm... The gluten-free pancakes sound nice. Yes, it is dinner, but who cares? It's my food and nobody messes with my food. Not even the dashing man sitting across from me.

"Mitch, are you ready to order?" Scott asked, snapping me out of my daze. I guess I was dreaming about food for too long. Or Scott. Or both. Come on, you can't say that you haven't dreamt about Scott eating food. Right? It's not abnormal.

"The gluten-free pancakes, please," I said. Scott ordered his dinner and turned to completely face me.

He sighed and smiled.

I gave him a confused look and tilted my head to the side.

"What's up?"

"Just thinking about you," he said, his eyes still fixed on me. I blushed took his hand into mine.

"You know you didn't have to spend this much money for me, Scott."

"Yes I did. You're worth every penny, Michelle, every single penny."

I giggled and looked at the front door that made a loud sound. And in walked Alex. I frowned and looked down, avoiding eye contact with Alex.

He apparently saw us and started coming over to where we were.

"Scott!" he exclaimed. He pulled up a chair. I opened my mouth to say something but then Scott spoke up. "Alex, it's so great to see you!" he said and gave him a tight hug.

I sighed heavily and continued eating.

They chatted and chatted for what seemed like hours.

"Mitch," Scott said and my head shot up, waiting for him to finally talk to me instead of Alex. "Sorry, I just have to go to the bathroom," he finished. I took a deep breath and slowly nodded, watching him stand and quickly walk to the other side of the restaurant.

After a few minutes, Alex spoke up. "I'm gonna go check on him." I told him," I can go if you want?"

He stood up, shaking his head, "No, no, it's fine, you finish your dinner."

I guess he didn't realize I was already done.

Ten minutes later, I finally gave up.

I walked to the bathroom and took a deep breath before opening the door.

I opened it, only to find Scott and Alex making out on the bathroom counter. I gasped and Scott looked over to me.

"Mitch, I-"

But I was already out the door.

I ran to our table and took out a post-it note.

I'm done with you.

Am I not good enough?

Am I not the perfect boyfriend?

I'm sorry.

Happy anniversary, Scott.

I sprinted out of the building and ran down the street. I sat down at the nearest park bench and began to silently cry.

"Mitch! Mitch, I'm so, so sorry," Scott said, coming closer to me. It started to lightly rain and it reminded me of every fucking cliche movie there is.

"I totally forgot and Alex-"

"Not only did you forget... But you also cheated on me. On our anniversary, Scott! Imagine that, Scott. How would you feel if you were being ignored AND cheated on the day you started dating. Huh? It hurts. So fucking much, Scott."

"I know-"

"NO, YOU DON'T! YOU DON'T FUCKING KNOW BECAUSE I WOULD NEVER CHEAT ON YOU!"

"I'm so sorry," he said.
