Trigger Warning

Mitch's P.O.V
---------------

I slit my wrist one last time, feeling the good pain.

I placed my letter by Scott's door.

I didn't bother to take anything with me, as I wouldn't need to.

Today is going to be the best day of my life.

I heard the water for the shower turn off and immediately sprinted out of the door, making my way to freedom.

Scott's P.O.V
---------------

I opened the bathroom door and grabbed my phone. Walking out of the room, I realized that there was a piece of paper neatly folded with my name in bold letters.

I knew exactly what it was and thought about calling Mitch.

I dialed his number and heard his ringtone for me, Crazy In Love, coming from his room.

I ran to the nearest bridge here, which happened to be by the park.

I saw him sitting on it, the railing, crying.

I slowly walked up to him, trying to make sure he didn't notice me.

"Hi, Scott."

"You knew I was behind you?" I asked.

"No one else has a heart."

"Mitch, get down."

"No," he said with no emotion.

"Please!? Mitchell, come on!" I yelled.

"Did you read my letter?" he asked, still looking down at the water.

"Y-Yes," I started crying at the thought of what it said.

"Oh, well it said not to come here, so why are you here?" Mitch asked.

"I want to help you. Please! I'd be so lost without you!" I cried.

"Scott, stop crying, you're making this harder for me," Mitch said softly.

"Then don't jump! Think of everybody; the Pentaholics, your friends and family. And me..."

I pulled Mitch into a hug. He just sat there, not moving and not showing any emotion.

"I'm just waiting for you to leave so can actually jump."

I tried to pull him down but he wouldn't budge.

"I'm not leaving anytime soon, so I suggest you get down and hug me."

"Fine then, watch me jump," he chuckled darkly.

He got up, but I pulled him back down.

"WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET YOU TO STOP!?"

He climbed up to the bridge and finally looks up at me, looking right at my eyes.

"Love me, please."

And he jumped.
