Mitch walked into third period. Art was his favorite class. it was the only one he could really express himself in. since he was gay, not many people liked him or even talked to him in general.
So, art was great for Mitch.
He sat in his seat and started sketching what his plan was.
He was going to draw his favorite dancer in the world.
Scott Richard Hoying.
He was tall and broad, yet very graceful at the same time. And that's what Mitch loved about him.
"Very good, Mitch," Mrs. Toepee, the art teacher, said to him. He gave a little smile and continued sketching. "You know, Mitch, you are extremely talented. I think we should have your work sent in to somebody pretty special. Don't you think?"
"Really? That would be amazing," Mitch said as he looked down at his picture.
~
He looked at the masterpiece before him.
"I think I'm going to give this 'Mitch' a visit. He's very talented... and if he wants to, I think he would be a great person to work with me on anything artistic."
~
Mitch sat down in his favorite class. without being told, he began working.
Mrs. Toepee came up to Mitch, saying, "We have a special visitor for you."
"Very good, Mitch."
"Thank you, Mrs. T- SCOTT!" Mitch screamed as he turned around, realizing his idol was standing right in front of him.
The students looked in his direction and rolled their eyes.
"Hey, don't be mean to him!" Scott said as he saw what the students did. The kids stared at him, shocked at what he had said. "Now, back to work," the teacher said quietly.
"Mitch, can I talk to you in the hallway?"
But Mitch was still in a daze.
"Mitch?"
He snapped out of it and nodded, standing up and almost tripping on somebody's foot, as they held it out trying to get him to fall.
"Stop that right now," Scott scolded.
They snickered and put their foot back under the table.
Scott saw that Mitch was already in the hall. He walked out of the room, only to be notified that Mitch was no longer standing there.
He was curled up in a ball on the floor with his face in his hands.
"Mitch, are you alright? Scott asked sweetly. He nodded, "I'm okay." Scott raised his 'eyebrow', "Then why are you about to cry?"
"I'm okay. I'm not crying."
"Something's wrong," he said, kneeling down next to Mitch.
"Everything's okay. I'm okay."
"Just tell me," he said, holding his hand out to help Mitch up.
Mitch denied it and stood up. "I'm OKAY." Mitch ran off, leaving Scott in the hallway confused of what just occurred. He ran after him and found him in the bathroom, leaning on the sink.
